Drug Companies Sued for Price Fixing by 44 States

"This may be the largest cartel case in the history of the United States" -Connecticut Attorney General William Tong

(SALEM, Ore.) - Pharmaceuticals In May, Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum joined 43 states in a lawsuit against Teva Pharmaceuticals and 19 of the nation's largest generic drug manufacturers alleging a broad conspiracy to inflate and manipulate prices, reduce competition and restrain trade for more than 100 different generic drugs.

The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, also names 15 individual senior executive defendants who were responsible for sales, marketing, pricing and operations.

Two Deputies Shot by Theft Suspect Near Hagg Lake

The suspect surrendered to deputies after sustaining gunshot wounds.

(WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ore.) - Hagg Lake Deputies responded to a theft of a long gun at a residence on SW Scoggins Valley Rd in Gaston. It was reported that the suspect was last seen going into the woods.

While TNT members were looking for the suspect, he began shooting at them. Two deputies were shot by the suspect and multiple TNT members returned fire, injuring the suspect.

Motorcyclist Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash

A car turned left in front of a Harley Davidson Motorcycle, killing the biker.

Officials say the preliminary investigation revealed a Buick Lesabre, operated by 88-year old Violet Sullivan of Estacada, was traveling westbound on Hwy 224 and turned left in front of a Harley Davidson Motorcycle operated by 65-year old Russell Nelson of Portland.

Wild Turkey Causes Fatal Motorcycle crash on Hwy 97

The crash happened approximately two miles north of Moro, Oregon.

(SHERMAN COUNTY, Ore.) - wild turkeys Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2005 Kawasaki motorcycle, operated by 55-year old Vanesa Gunther of Junction City, Oregon, was traveling southbound on Hwy 97 when a wild turkey collided with her after flying into a northbound commercial motor vehicle.

Gunther sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Head-on Crash on Highway 97 Kills Bend Woman

Second vehicle's driver and passenger were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

(KLAMATH COUNTY, Ore.) - fatal crash A two-vehicle head on fatal crash on Highway 97 Thursday evening claimed the life of a 19-year old Bend resident. July 18th at 7:30 p.m., Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the area near milepost 197 in Klamath County.

The investigation revealed that a white 2005 Jeep Liberty was traveling southbound on Highway 97 and for unknown reasons, drifted onto the southbound shoulder.

The drug companies, along with the DEA and the Justice Department, have fought furiously against the public release of the database. Until now, the litigation has proceeded in unusual secrecy.

Pill mill clinic manager will go to Federal Prison for illegal opioid distribution

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Julie DeMille and Osasuyi  Idumwonyi Idumwonyi and DeMille split the clinic’s cash proceeds. In a typical day at the clinic, DeMille saw up to 20 patients, charging each $200 in cash. In 2015, the clinic generated at least $388,000 in revenue.

DeMille's prescriptions resulted in the distribution of more than 219,000 pills, 96.7% of which were opioids.
