A Salem Police Officer has been involved in a shooting on duty. The officer is not injured.

The condition of the suspect is not available at this time.

Man Killed In Plane Crash Near Cape Blanco Made Distress Call

It is believed he suffered some sort of medical issue prior to the crash.

(CURRY COUNTY, Ore.) - While out training, a U.S. Coast Guard Sector North Bend MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew overheard a radio conversation between an 80-year-old male pilot and Federal Aviation Administration Seattle personnel.

The pilot was reporting he had lost vision in his right eye and was signaling an emergency code today.

Law Enforcement Investigating Fatal Crash Following Reported Kidnapping

Alleged kidnapping ends in two deaths.

(ONTARIO, Ore.) - Just as Ontario Police arrived on scene, the suspect, 49-year old Anthony Wayne Montwheeler, of Nampa, Idaho, fled in a 2014 black Dodge pickup.

Officers received information that there was an adult female, 40-year old Anita S. Harmon, of Weiser, Idaho, who was being held against her will, in the pickup. Officers pursued the suspect in the city then traveled south onto Highway 201.

Fire Investigators Discover Probable Remains of Kroeker Family

The Sheriff's Office is still on scene.

(HUBBARD, Ore.) - Over the past two days, Investigators have recovered the remains of 5 individuals inside of the Kroeker residence. Detectives can confirm that the remains found are of an adult male, one adult female and three children.

Although the remains appear consistent with that of the Kroeker family, confirmation of identity is made through the medical examiner.

Fatal Hubbard Fire a Criminal Investigation

Investigators believe that all three fires were intentionally set.

(HUBBARD, Ore.) - Investigators have worked all day searching and sifting through debris from Tuesday's fire. Investigators have made steady progress during their search but their efforts have been slowed because of the amount of damage to the structures and the adverse weather conditions.

The Sheriff's Office is not currently releasing any information regarding the deceased person found inside the residence or any information regarding the evidence found during today's search.

Detectives Investigating Early Morning Fatal Fire Near Hubbard

Currently the Kroeker family's whereabouts are unknown. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 503-588-5032.

(HUBBARD, Ore.) - Investigators are continuing with their efforts to determine what caused this morning's fatal fire near Hubbard.

The Sheriff's Office and its partners will be working through the night and into tomorrow stabilizing the residence and sifting through the debris in an attempt to discover what took place early this morning.

Fatal Officer Involved Shooting Investigation Ongoing In Bend

The two Bend Police Officers have been identified

(BEND, Ore.) - On the night of December 23, 2016, the Bend Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the area of Bond and Franklin in Bend.

During the contact, an altercation occurred with the vehicle's driver and at least one officer fired their weapon, resulting in the death of the driver.

There were also three passengers in the Ford, treated for non-life threatening injuries.

(GRANTS PASS, Ore.) - Last night about 11:30 p.m., OSP Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a multiple vehicle crash on Interstate 5 near milepost 55 (Grants Pass).

Emergency personnel arrived on scene to find a vehicle on its roof with and that the male driver had died.

(DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore.) - About 2:30 a.m. this morning, OSP Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a single vehicle crash on Interstate 5 near milepost 112 (north of Myrtle Creek). Upon arriving on scene, emergency personnel could not locate the driver or occupants.

Two adult females were soon after located deceased on the river bank below the bridge where the crash had occurred.
