It further escalates the possibility of Apple's discrimination against Iranian Americans.

In the Corps, as in our societies as a whole, some individuals still have problems accepting people of color in position of authority.

Senior leaders are taking a hard look at their history and asking why the Corps has fallen behind other branches to eliminate the last traces of racism.

Black Marine History Through White Marine Eyes

Sept. 9, 1949 is a historic but little known date in the long history of our beloved Marine Corps. That is the day, 63 years ago, that the Montford Point Boot Camp for Marines of African Ancestry was closed, after seven years of operation. -

(KANE'OHE, Hawaii) - Montford Point Marine at Iwo Jima Black Marines took their place in our Corps history, albeit initially a brief place, during the Revolutionary War.

(WASHINGTON DC) - LtCol Joseph Carpenter, USMC (Ret), Sgt Earl Evans, USMC (Ret), SSgt Eugene Groves, USMC (Ret), and GySgt Reuben McNair, USMC (Ret) on the Capitol Steps. 70 years since the first African- American Marine recruit reported to Montford Point at Camp Lejeune, N.C., the Montford Point Marines are finally getting the recognition they deserve.

There are approximately 500 surviving members of the almost 20,000 original Montford Point Marines.

(PRINCETON, NJ) - Rajiv Malhotra The Tibetan Youth Congress approached me to be their keynote speaker at the end of a large rally and hunger strike in front of the Chinese consulate in Manhattan.

Their peaceful event brought 10,000 supporters, mostly white Americans and Tibetans. Traffic was stopped for a few blocks. There was heavy police presence.
