Obama Administration Removes Crucial Barrier to Marijuana Research

(WASHINGTON, DC) - In a long-sought move anticipated by many marijuana reform advocates, the White House announced last week that it was removing a major obstacle to marijuana research – the Public Health Service (PHS) Review.

“This announcement shows that the White House is ready to move away from the war on medical marijuana, and enable the performance of legitimate and necessary research,” said Bill Piper, of Drug Policy Alliance.

Crohn`s Disease Patient Shona Banda Speaks Out As Charges Loom

(GARDEN CITY, KS) - A press conference has been scheduled for June 15th regarding the case against Crohn’s disease patient Shona Banda. Five criminal charges are in the process of being filed against Banda as a result of the well publicized raid by Garden City Police in April.

Shona plans to voluntarily surrender herself to the authorities at the press conference. She is humbly requesting all supporters be there.

Dr. Phil Leveque, WWII Hero and Pot Doc Has Died

(SALEM, Ore.) - It is with great sadness that I share this news. Our doctor, friend, teacher, and mentor 92-year old Phil Leveque passed away Saturday afternoon, peacefully with his family aside him.

His great niece described him as “The Most Awesome, Intelligent, Funny, Open-minded, Game Changing, Great Uncle, Dr. Phil Leveque”, and that about covers it. He did change the game.

Representative Lew Frederick To Give Keynote Speech

Portland participants will gather in Pioneer Courthouse Square for a rally that begins at 11:00am, with a scheduled cannabis freedom march beginning at 4pm through downtown Portland, accompanied by a police escort.
