Cover Oregon Progress Report and Consumer Update

Qualified applicants must choose a plan by Dec. 27 at 5 PM.

(DURHAM, OR) - Cover Oregon Statewide, an estimated 136,000 Oregonians have enrolled in health insurance coverage starting Jan. 1, 2014. Of that total, an estimated 36,000 Oregonians enrolled through Cover Oregon: more than 12,000 in private plans and more than 24,000 in the Oregon Health Plan. The rest are being enrolled in the Oregon Health Plan through the fast-track option.

To date, Cover Oregon has determined approximately 70,000 Oregonians eligible for health coverage starting Jan. 1 through private plans or the Oregon Health Plan.

More Time, More Options for First Cover Oregon Applicants and State High Risk Pool

People who met Dec. 4 deadline have until Dec. 27 to pick a plan and enroll. Also, new safety net program for state’s high risk pool.

(DURHAM, OR) - Cover Orego The first Oregonians to complete applications have a little more time to enroll in a private health plan through Cover Oregon effective Jan. 1, 2014.

These consumers now have until Dec. 27 at 5:00 p.m. to choose a health plan and notify Cover Oregon of their selections, under an agreement reached late today with insurance carriers.
