Clackamas County Sheriff`s SAR Personnel Identify Injured Climber (PHOTO SERIES)

54-year old John Robert Creager of Milwaukie, Oregon was successfully attended to by rescue personnel after he fell 500' while climbing at the 10,600' level of Mount Hood earlier this morning.

Second Dramatic Rescue Underway on Mount Hood (UPDATE #2)

Rescue personnel indicated at 10:30 a.m. that the patient is being packaged for carry by rescue personnel to the Devil's Kitchen area of Mount Hood.

(MT. HOOD) - Hog's Back on Mount Hood A second rescue on Mount Hood was launched this morning for a climber who reportedly fell 500' while climbing on the Hogs Back – at the 10,600' level – on Mount Hood.

Rescuers were going to airlift the climber from the mountain, but Army Guard Helicopter crews say they're concerned with the helicopter rotor vibration that may create additional hazards on the present delicate and unstable surface of the mountain.

Climber Rescued From Mount Hood by Clackamas County SAR (PHOTOS)

A successful rescue demonstrates skills of area emergency response teams.

(MOUNT HOOD, Ore.) - A 34-year old female climber was injured while ascending Mount Hood, near Crater Rock early Saturday morning. Clackamas County 9-1-1 received an emergency cell phone call at 5:20 a.m. from a member of the 10-person climbing party on Mount Hood.

It was reported that falling ice and debris had struck Jessica M. Deans, a member of their climbing party, causing injuries to both her legs; however, the injured party was conscious and breathing.

Gas Prices Jump in Oregon and Across the U.S.

After five weeks as the fifth most expensive state, Oregon drops to eighth place.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Gas gauge empty Pump prices show some dramatic gains in the past week with Memorial Day just a couple weeks away. The national average for regular unleaded shot up 17 cents to $2.25, while Oregon's jumped ten cents to $2.36.

While many affected households in Portland have taken action, there are still many hard-to-reach communities who are not yet prepared for the June 12 switch.

Gresham Man Dies in Oregon Highway Work Zone Crash (PHOTOS)

Police say the ODOT work zone was well-marked for approximately two miles prior to the location where traffic was to merge to the right lane.

(GRESHAM, Ore.) - Fatal Oregon highway workzone crash Police say a Gresham-area man died Monday afternoon when the pickup he was driving collided into the rear of a stopped ODOT highway maintenance truck in a work zone on Interstate 84 west of Cascade Locks.

This was the second traffic crash involving vehicles approaching areas where ODOT personnel were conducting maintenance or work zone activity, and is a reminder of the need to be attentive at all times while driving. The other was a non-injury crash east of The Dalles on Interstate 84.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Oregon soldier, Garen Hart, of Sherwood, Ore., proposes to his fiancé, Melinda Morris, of Portland While soldiers from the 41st Brigade Combat Team trained and prepared for duty in Iraq at Camp Roberts California, Specialist Garen Hart, of Sherwood, Oregon, was hatching a plan.

In between mastering soldiering skills in the training lanes with other Oregon soldiers, he collaborated with his commanders on how he would go about proposing to his fiancé, Melinda Morris, of Portland, Oregon.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Photo of fatal crash scene on Hwy 224 east of Interstate 205 in Oregon 5-1-09 Police investigators say one person died in a crash this morning on Highway 224 east of Interstate 205 near SE 108th Avenue.

A GMC pickup driven by 40-year old Jonathan Jason Christensen of Oregon City, was eastbound on Highway 224 near milepost 6 when it drifted across the center left turn lane and crashed nearly head-on into a westbound 2007 Ford F550.

(MOLALLA, Ore.) - Scene from the movie I first wrote about this subject a year ago about Dr. Andrea Andrea Barthwell, the attack Pit Bull for former Drug Czar John Walters who didn’t have one good word for medical marijuana, but she was working for the Sativex Company which makes medicine from, guess what, marijuana!

For anyone with a lick of sense, the movie Reefer Madness was the funniest, most grotesque movie ever produced by bad actors pimping a very bad script but it has probably been seen by millions of extremely gullible viewers who believed it.
