Pill mill clinic manager will go to Federal Prison for illegal opioid distribution
(PORTLAND, Ore.) -
Idumwonyi and DeMille split the clinic’s cash proceeds. In a typical day at the clinic, DeMille saw up to 20 patients, charging each $200 in cash. In 2015, the clinic generated at least $388,000 in revenue.
DeMille's prescriptions resulted in the distribution of more than 219,000 pills, 96.7% of which were opioids.

The complaint states that Purdue Pharma, maker of OxyContin, drafted and sponsored "Responsible Opioid Prescribing", a clinician guidebook produced by the Federation of State Medical Board (FSMB) and written by Scott M. Fishman, MD.

Thompson has many years experience in the industry and, in fact, produces opioids for pharma and bravely accused the FDA of opening the floodgates on the opioid epidemic.

The hearing “Managing Pain During the Opioid Crisis” was chaired by U.S. Senator Alexander. He arrived on the Senate floor laying on a cot and at the point of testimony, transferred to sitting in a chair.
Alexander said chronic pain and opioid use disorder are distinct and separate diseases. No, Senator Alexander, chronic pain is not a disease -- it is a symptom of a physical or psychological problem that needs to be properly diagnosed by a physician. Opioid use disorder is just that -- it is a disorder -- not a disease.
