(NEW YORK) - Gaza Ark logo Dear friends and supporters of Gaza’s Ark, thanks to all of you who have generously responded to our December appeal for donations. Through the generosity of hundreds of people like you around the world, since the beginning of our project, we have raised over $50,000. We feel confident now to set Gaza's Ark in motion.

Later this month we plan to make a down-payment and take delivery of the boat in order to start rebuilding it right away, as we raise the rest of the money to pay it in full.

(BETHLEHEM) - Wall Flowers, Bansy art in West Bank Just got back to Palestine after a trip to Berlin for a workshop exchanging experiences on issues of popular resistance in different countries (Egypt, Nepal, Palestine etc.) and evolution of forms of resistance. I regretted being outside the country when the action happened called Gate of the Sun (the village was attacked again the day before I came back and emptied).

We did discuss this action in our workshop and offered ideas on better messaging, better media work, and better strategies.

(TEL AVIV Ha'aretz) - The body of 16-year old Samir Ahmed Awad Samir Ahmed Awad, 16, of the West Bank village of Budrus, was killed by IDF soldiers.

So was Uday Darwish, 21, of Dura and Anwar al-Mamluk, 21, of Gaza.

(CHICAGO) - Bayit Yehudi leader Naftli Bennet Israel’s 19th general election, Tuesday, January 22, is almost certain to be won by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party.

There is no serious Liberal election opposition to Likud. What is serious, however, is the very real possibility that after this election, the Israeli government could turn even harder to the political right.
