The blasphemy laws in The constitution of Pakistan

(KARACHI) - Pakistan blasphemy laws Several sections of Pakistan's Criminal Code comprise its blasphemy Laws. § 295-A forbids outraging religious feelings. § 295-B forbids defiling the Quran. § 295-C forbids defaming the Islamic prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Defiling the Quran merits imprisonment for life. Defaming Muhammad (PBUH) merits death with or without a fine. (See below Sharia.)

Islamabad High Court Judgment in Rimsha Case Historical for Pakistan

Pakistan`s Blasphemy Laws Don`t Protect Religious Harmony

Social and Political leadership express concern about the IHC decision in the Rimsha case.

(ISLAMABAD, Pakistan) - Rimsha on her release Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday, 20th November, 2012 dismissed blasphemy charges against Rimsha, a Christian teenager girl whose case prompted international outrage.

Islamabad High Court found that the accusations against her were legally unsound, said Abdul Hameed Rana, one of the Rimsha’s lawyers. She is a free woman now, like any other Pakistani citizen, he added.
