(YACHATS, ore.) -
Police on the Oregon coast say the body of an unidentified adult male was found in the surf lane Thursday morning north of Yachats.
Oregon State Police are investigating the discovery of the human remains, with the assistance of the Lincoln County Medical Examiner.
Rescue teams were climbed into a cave to retrieve the pair and a Coast Guard helicopter flew them to safety.

The Coast Guard assisted Cannon Beach, Oregon authorities with the rescue of two people from a cave at Cannon Beach Saturday.
A spokesperson for the Coast Group/Air Station Astoria, says they received a request for assistance from Cannon Beach authorities.
Oregon's ocean crab season opens December First.
(NEWPORT, Ore.) -
The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife today announced that the commercial ocean Dungeness crab season will open at 12:01 a.m. December 1st, 2009.
Under Oregon Administrative Rules, the commercial pot presoak in Oregon waters will begin no sooner than 8:01 a.m. November 28th.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the missing men should contact the Lane County Sheriff’s Office.

The Coast Guard is searching for two missing fishermen two miles south of Yachats, Oregon Thursday. 62-year old Bill Bodewig and 23-year old Nick Lutz, both from the local area, were reported missing late Wednesday night to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office.
An HH-65C Dolphin helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Facility Newport, Oregon, searched at first light and discovered a fishing pole and two backpacks in the area the fishermen were last reported.
High surf will affect beaches in the advisory area, producing rip currents and localized beach erosion.
(SALEM, Ore.) -
A High Surf Advisory and High Wind Warnings are now in effect, and will remain so until 10:00 a.m. Tuesday for the entire Oregon coastline and the Coast Range.
During the storm, seas will climb to 23-27 feet, with periods around 11 seconds. Seas have already reached 23 feet off the mouth of the Columbia River, and will peak closer to the value of 27 feet tonight, during the strongest winds.
Forecasters say large swells generated by the storm will continue impacting the beaches along the West Coast through the rest of the weekend.
(LINCOLN CITY, Ore.) - 20 to 30 coastal homes were damaged Thursday night as a tornado slammed into the Oregon coast. The raging storm turned extremely violent at 9:54 p.m.
