In this second installment of Nota Bene by Leonardo, Salem-News.com Cartoonist Glen Bledsoe illustrates issues relating to downtown parking in Oregon's capitol city.

(SALEM) - Nothing beats an artist's interpretation of a local political issue. We usually only see national and international life portrayed through comic strips. Times are changing though, and now local artist Glen Bledsoe has joined the Salem-News.com team to deliver insightful perspective through the clever use of imagery and art.

(SALEM) - Salem-News.com is pleased to announce a new cartoon strip called nota bene, by local artist Glen Bledsoe. The addition of this regular installment on Salem-News.com is unique and exciting and couldn't be a better fit according to Editor Tim King.

Glen has been involved in writing and art since he was in elementary school, staying the course through his graduation from the Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art.

A bicycle ride to Oregon in 1975 introduced Glen to the place that would later become his home. When his wife finished medical school, Salem was chosen as a great place to put down their roots.
