Early Morning Crash in Rural Yamhill County Kills Wilsonville Man

(NEWBERG) - image: helicoptor A single vehicle crash in the 32000 block of Wilsonville Rd. claimed the life of a 46-year-old Wilsonville man early Saturday morning.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle has been identified as Russell Irvin Michel. He was not wearing safety restraints.

Yamhill County Sheriff Jack Crabtree said that the 12:50 PM crash 3 miles east of Newberg, occurred when the east bound Nissan Pathfinder drifted off the road and spun out of control, crashing into an embankment.

Detective Dies in Multi-Vehicle Crash

(NEWBERG) - image: law enforcement badge A 17-year veteran Detective with the Washington County Sheriff`s Office died Tuesday afternoon in a 3 vehicle crash northwest of Newberg. 48-year old Randall L. Nunnenkamp of Hillsboro died at the scene of the 4:18 PM crash in the 14500 block of North Valley Road.

Investigators say a northbound vehicle crossed the centerline, striking Nunnenkamp on his 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle that was southbound. The vehicle then struck another vehicle head on, according to Yamhill County Sheriff Jack Crabtree, `This portion of North Valley Road is particularly dangerous due to its winding, narrow condition...
