5 US Troops Killed in Afghan Helicopter Crash

The cause of the crash is being investigated.

(KANDAHAR VOA) - U.S. officials say five American members of the NATO-led coalition force died when their helicopter crashed in Kandahar, southern Afghanistan.

Local officials said there were no survivors of the crash, which took place Monday during a heavy rainstorm. Those authorities say there was no enemy activity in the area at the time.
