McMinnville Police Investigate Homicide Involving Local Man

(MCMINNVILLE, Ore.) - Homicide investigation McMinnville Police are investigating the homicidal death of 60-year old Dennis Ross, who lived at 1627 NW 6th Street. Captain Dennis Marks with McMinnville Police, says officers were sent to the man's residence for a welfare check Saturday, just after 1:00 p.m.

They located his deceased body in the home.

McMinnville Man Clocked and Arrested for 100 MPH Reckless Driving

The suspect was arrested for Reckless Driving and transported to the Marion County Jail.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Photo from the Marion County Sheriff's Office shows 100 MPH speed recorded on the patrol car's radar unit, with the driver, Jebidiah Murphy, in the background. A deputy in Marion County says he observed a silver colored passenger car Monday traveling at an extremely high rate of speed, and turned on his radar.

He verified the speed of the vehicle at 100 miles per hour. Deputy Ryan Postlewait turned on his emergency lights and says he watched as the front end of the vehicle lowered toward the ground, which would indicate heavy braking.

Detective Sgt. Rhonda Sandoval with McMinnville Police, says the attack took place during the evening of Saturday, December 19 in the Kiwanis Marine Park in McMinnville, located at 1400 SE Brooks Street.

Ten-Year Old Boy Struck by Vehicle in McMinnville Crosswalk

(MCMINNVILLE, Ore.) - Pedestrian hit Emergency responders were called to a report of a vehicle versus pedestrian crash in McMinnville this evening at 5:35 p.m.

McMinnville Police say medics and police arrived on scene and shut down the north bound lanes of Hwy 99W at the location while the pedestrian was treated and the investigation was conducted.

Police Investigate Suspicious Packages on Linfield College Campus

Five suspicious packages discovered on campus did not turn out to be explosive devices.

(MCMINVILLE, Ore.) - Salem-News.com McMinnville Police found a number of suspicious packages in several open areas on Linfield College Campus early this morning just after 5:30 a.m.

They now report that the suspicious packages on the Linfield College Campus have been cleared by McMinnville Police, Linfield College Public Safety, and the Oregon State Police bomb squad.

McMinnville Police Investigate Death of Six-Year Old girl

An examination of the victim by the State Medical Examiner's office is scheduled for today.

(MCMINNVILLE, Ore.) - Ambulance McMinnville Police and Fire Departments responded to 600 NE Summerfield Street December 2nd over a report that a 6-year old female child was unconscious and not breathing.

Shortly after arrival ar 5:06 p.m., medical and law enforcement personnel learned that the 6-year old had been found with items around her neck strangling her.

Four Adults Arrested for Raping and Sexually Abusing Children

Police say teen girls were given pot and alcohol, tied up, raped, and even engaged in sex with a dog and groups of men located through Craigslist ads; one victim was only four.

(NEWBERG, Ore.) - Suspects Daily, Thompson, Garcia, Moreno Police arrested several adults in what appears to be a bizarre and tragic series of sex crimes involving teenage girls and one four-year old child.

Police say the situation came to their attention over the weekend. A 15-year old girl told officers she had engaged in sex with 44-year old Darrin Vaughn Daily after he gave her marijuana and alcohol.
