PTSD: One Million Plus American Military Victims

Phillip Leveque has spent his life as a Combat Infantryman, Physician, Toxicologist and Pharmacologist. He is an expert in medical marijuana treatment.

(MOLALLA, Ore.) - Salem-News.com It is comforting for me as a combat infantryman and physician for PTSD victims to see an article in the Oregonian newspaper on PTSD citing disgrace over the gross mistreatment of not only hundreds of thousands of battle veterans, but the mistreatment of all PTSD veterans going back even to the Civil War.

The figures usually given by the newspapers is 300 thousand PTSD veterans. What is not mentioned is their families. They have PTSD also. One of the symptoms or signs of PTSD is hypervigilance, in other words veterans are as "jumpy as a cat".

Military Crimes: Nothing Learned and Nothing Gained

In Vietnam we rallied blindly for accused soldiers when their crimes were terrible, and today we are blind and apathetic toward Marines whose charges are far less significant.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem-News.com One morning during the Vietnam War, soldiers who pillaged an entire village murdered hundreds of innocent civilians. One junior officer received a court martial and a slap on the wrist over it. That was the massacre at My Lai. The nation as a whole failed to comprehend the enormity of it.

Today, Marines who may or may not have been involved in the death of a single suspected insurgent are being prosecuted many say, without fairness, and they are watching the ruining of their lives as the Navy does their best to do them in. Nobody cares.
