Family Releases Recording of PFC Tommy Tucker`s Last Call Home (Audio)

(MADRAS) - Thomas Tucker Private 1st Class Thomas Tucker joined the U.S. Army stating that he wanted to do something positive and was stationed at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky as a member of B Company, 1st Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade, 101st Airborne Division.

In a recent telephone message that remains on their telephone answering machine, Thomas sent the following greeting. "Be proud of me Mom, I'm defending my country. Tell sis and my nephews hello for me, I'm OK, I'm on my way."

Thomas Tucker's family released that call, it is included in this story.

(MADRAS AP) - Oregon soldiers on duty in Iraq An Oregon man was identified as one of two servicemen reported missing in Iraq after an insurgent attack on a military checkpoint south of Baghdad.

Multiple Ambulances Respond to Bus Crash on Hwy 26

Students in the bus were headed for Western Oregon University to see a performance of West Side Story.

(MADRAS) - Scene on Highway 26 Wednesday Photo Courtesy: Oregon State Police Four American Medical Response ambulances responded to the motor vehicle crash on Hwy 26 at Milepost 61 Wednesday. The crash included a school bus with a report of 30 students on board and three other vehicles.

AMR Clackamas County Paramedics first on scene found several patients requiring emergency medical treatment including at least one with critical injuries who went to the hospital by LifeFlight.
