International Parental Kidnapping Case Leads to South Pacific Island

Backyard Chicken Ordinance Considered by Marion County Commissioners

Six hens (no roosters) would be allowed on property inside urban growth boundaries.

(SALEM, Ore.) - backyard chickens The Marion County Board of Commissioners will hold the first reading of an ordinance allowing backyard chickens, within urban growth boundary areas, at its regularly scheduled Board Session on Wednesday, July 29, 2015. The meeting begins at 9 a.m.

The proposed ordinance will allow up to six hens inside urban growth boundaries, except in the Woodburn and Silverton UGBs where a maximum of three hens would be allowed. There would be no sales of chickens, eggs, or fertilizer.

MCSO Cold Case Squad Seeks Public`s Help with Homicide Investigation From 1986

Help solve a murder nearly 29 years old....if you can.

The victim is believed to have been young, perhaps 20 to 30 years old, approximately 5' 4" tall with a slender to medium build.

FBI Seeking Information to Identify Victims in International Sextortion Case

Online predator Lucas Michael Chansler was sentenced to 105 years in federal prison for engaging in an extortion scheme to produce child pornography.

Oregon Legislature Votes to Ban the Box on Job Applications

HB 3025 will help remove barriers to employment for people with past convictions and arrests

The legislation will prohibit employers from including questions about applicants’ criminal history on job applications. HB 3025 now heads to the House for a concurrent vote and then to Governor Kate Brown for her signature.
