The Gun Control Delusion

The problem with the idea of gun control, or any form of prohibition, is that it doesn’t work.

(ATLANTA) - gun violence Following the horrible school-shooting massacre in Parkland, Fla. the gun control mob is out in full force. These well-meaning Americans are once again demanding prohibition from the top of their lungs.

They’re mortified by the meaningless slaughter of 17 children, as we all are, and they are convinced that the answer is banning guns.

Sen. Feinstein`s New Assault Weapons Ban

The AR-15 has been used in a number of recent mass shootings

(SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.) - Salem-News.com On February 14, 2018, Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) joined by 24 Democrats introduced new legislation that would ban AR-15s, which is the most popular rifle in the U.S. According to Sen. Feinstein, an AR-15 is a military weapon. No militaries use civilian AR-15s.

The new Feinstein bill will also prohibit the ownership, manufacture, or sale of bump stocks.

Kentucky Shooting - Deja Vu All Over Again

Same silence about gun control...another tragic day.

(SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.) - Marshall County HS While listening and reading about the post-Kentucky shooting, where a 15-year old student killed two and wounded at least 19 others at Marshall County High School in western Kentucky on January 23, I had another sense of deja vu.

Just substitute Las Vegas, Sandy Hook, Orlando, Virginia Tech, Charleston, Aurora Theater in Colorado, Navy Yard in Washington, D.C., and the other mass shootings too numerous to mention, for Kentucky, and you will see what I mean.

Will We Learn From the Charleston Killings?

About 34% of all gun deaths in the U.S. (11,000+ in both 2010 and 2011) are classified as homicides.

(SAN FRANCISCO) - Obama Dylann Storm Roof, a 21-year old white supremacist, is accused of murdering nine worshippers at the historic Emanuel AME church in Charleston, S.C. President Obama called the shootings "senseless murders" and suggested more gun control is needed in the wake of the tragedy.

But in this violent nation of ours, there seems to be a disconnect between our Second Amendment "right to keep and bear arms" and the number of mass killings in this country.
