Firefighters from Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue aggressively attacked a mobile home fire in Beaverton that was threatening to spread to surrounding structures early this morning. Although firefighters were able to knock the fire down quickly, firefighters discovered one person inside the home who was deceased.

Siskiyou Fire Declared a Conflagration: State Deploys ResourcesSalem-News.comA Red Cross evacuation center has been set up at the Ashland Armory. (ASHLAND, Ore.) -
Oregon Governor Theodore Kulongoski has declared the Siskiyou fire burning just outside of Ashland a conflagration. The declaration authorizes the state fire marshal to mobilize firefighters and equipment to assist local resources battling the fire. The fire is approximately 100 acres and 50 to 100 homes have been evacuated.
