Vancouver Woman Identified as Victim of Homicide

Person of interest was last seen driving a white, 2003 Toyota Tacoma pickup, bearing Oregon plate 184 HLR.

(LAFAYETTE, Ore.) - Victor Melcher Villalba Police have positively identified the female body found near Lafayette, on Sunday, October 2, 2016. The victim is 37-year old Lilia Cosco-Ortiz, of Vancouver, WA.

She was positively identified late yesterday, Monday, October 3, however this information was withheld by authorities until family members were advised. Ms. Cosco-Ortiz was last seen leaving her Vancouver home, late Saturday, October 1, 2016.

Female Body Found in Field Outside Lafayette

Autopsy reveals she died of Homicidal violence.

(LAFAYETTE, Ore.) - Lafayette, Oregon On Sunday, about 1:14 pm, the body of a female was found in a blueberry field by a few citizens who were driving through the area. Once they realized what it was they contacted authorities.

Monday, October 3rd, an autopsy was conducted on the unidentified female by the Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office. The medical examiner has determined the cause of death was by homicidal violence.

Newberg Man Killed In Highway 99W Crash

Reaction time when driving can be in split seconds.

(NEWBERG, Ore.) - fatal crash on Highway 99W Preliminary investigation revealed a 2012 Acura MDX was traveling northbound on Highway 99W when it encountered stopped traffic, which was a result of another crash.

The Acura driver braked rapidly and came to a stop. A 2002 Harley Davidson was following the Acura and rear ended it which ejected the the motorcyclist.

Highway 58 Crash Claims a Life

The Honda traveled off of the roadway as it entered a curve.

(OAKRIDGE, Ore.) - fatal accident Reports of a single vehicle off of the roadway on Highway 58 near milepost 27 were received by Oregon State Police Monday evening just after 8 pm.

Initial reports indicated that the vehicle was upside down with a single operator trapped inside, just east of Black Canyon Campground.

(CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Ore.) - motorcycle rider dies According to Oregon State Police, preliminary investigation revealed a 1990 Honda motorcycle was traveling northbound on Interstate 5 when it encountered slowing traffic ahead of it.

The motorcyclist changed lanes, lost control, and was ejected from his motorcycle.

Hwy 18 Two-Vehicle Crash Claims Two Lives

Slick roads during the first major rainfall in some time may have contributed to the crash.

(OTIS, Ore.) - Hwy 18  fatal accident A two vehicle crash about 6:40 pm Saturday claimed the lives of two 20-year old women and injured others.

Police say a 1999 Honda Civic was traveling eastbound on Highway 18, just east of Lincoln City, when it failed to negotiate a corner on the wet roadway. The Honda slid into the oncoming lane where it collided with a westbound 2010 Kia Soul.

20-Year Old Man Killed in Crash with Freightliner

The Ranger collided with a northbound Freightliner pulling double trailers loaded with lumber.

(HUBBARD, Ore.) - Salem-News.com Tuesday morning, just before 8 a.m., OSP Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a two vehicle collision on Highway 99E near milepost 26, north of Hubbard.

According to Trooper Freitag, the investigation revealed a white 2008 Ford Ranger operated by 20-year old Andrew Pine, of Hubbard, was travelling southbound when, for unknown reasons, he crossed into the oncoming lane of travel.
