Early Morning Toledo House Fire Claims One

The fatal blaze is still under investigation.

(TOLEDO, Ore.) - Salem-News.com This morning at 4:12 am, the Toledo Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire at 26 Tom Jack Road in Toledo. They were assisted by teams from Newport, Depoe Bay, and Siletz Fire Departments, as well as the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.

Once the fire was suppressed, one deceased adult was located. The deceased has been identified as Betty Sue Mcgregor, 84, of Toledo, Oregon.

UPDATE: Suspicious Death of Woman Near St. Paul

If you saw anything suspicious in the area, call Detective Myers at 503-540-8096

(ST PAUL, Ore.) - Tricia Carver The body of an adult female was discovered in a field this morning, in the area of Vachter Road NE and River Road NE, near St. Paul. Deputies and detectives with the Marion County Sheriff's Office were called at about 7:00 a.m.

At this point, Detectives are investigating the case as a suspicious death.

Cleanup Efforts Continuing along Hwy 38 After Fatal Crash

A 2012 Kenworth truck towing double fuel tanks struck a large black cow standing in the road, then lost control, went off the road and struck a power pole.

(SCOTTSBURG, Ore.) - fatal crash The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality continues to oversee cleanup and monitoring near the site of an Oct. 22 truck crash and fuel release on Oregon 38.

The truck was carrying around 7,500 gallons of gasoline and 2,500 gallons of diesel when it crashed.

Fatal Truck Crash Caused by Cow in the Road

The commercial truck was carrying 7500 gallons of gasoline and 2500 gallons of diesel fuel.

(DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore.) - fatal crash Monday at approximately 9:45 p.m. a 2012 Kenworth truck towing double fuel tanks was westbound on Hwy 38 when it struck a large black cow standing in the roadway.

The truck then lost control and traveled off the roadway and struck a power pole. The operator of the truck, 59-year old Charles Stephens, from Eugene, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

One Man Killed in Crash Near Mill City

The operator and only occupant was pronounced deceased at the scene.

(LINN COUNTY, Ore.) - fatal crash investigation Linn County deputies are investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred on Kingwood Avenue near Dogwood Road just east of Mill City, on October 6th just before 8 p.m.

Sheriff Jim Yon reports that the operator was identified as 28-year old Wesley Wilson, of Gates. He was operating a black 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse and was eastbound on Kingwood Avenue when he failed to negotiate a corner. The vehicle struck the bridge abutment crossing Rock Creek.
