Oregon`s First Case of Child with COVID-19 Linked PMIS

Experts say PMIS (pediatric multi-system inflammatory syndrome) is rare

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Oregon Health Authority has learned of the state’s first case of pediatric multi-system inflammatory syndrome, a rare but emerging condition in children that is believed to be associated with COVID-19 infection.

The case is a girl who had confirmed COVID-19. She is being treated at Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel in Portland.

Four More Deaths From COVID-19 in Oregon

The pandemic continues while most Oregonians stay unaffected.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Four more deaths due to COVID-19 were reported in Oregon as of 8 a.m. today, as well as 55 new confirmed COVID-19 cases and 4 new presumptive cases.

Today's numbers raise the state’s death toll to 134, according to the Oregon Health Authority.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - COVID-19 has claimed two more lives in Oregon, raising the state’s death toll to 103, the Oregon Health Authority reported at 8 a.m. today.

Oregon Health Authority also reported 64 new cases of COVID-19 today bringing the state total to 2,510 cases.

COVID-19 Claims Six More Oregonians

Health authorities in Oregon report 6 new COVID-19 deaths and 83 new cases.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - COVID-19 has claimed 6 more lives in Oregon, raising the state’s death toll to 44. Oregon Health Authority also reported 83 new cases, bringing the state total to 1,321.

A total of 25,627 tests have been administered in Oregon.

Oregon COVID Response Team to Ensure Delivery of PPE to all 36 Counties

All 36 counties and Oregon's 9 Tribes are expected to receive shipments by April 6th.

(SALEM, Ore.) - The State of Oregon expects a shipment of personal protective equipment (PPE) from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

Once received, the personnel at the fully operational PPE Distribution Center in Wilsonville will begin processing and shipping those supplies to all 36 counties and 9 tribes in Oregon.

Oregon Guardsmen Transport Supplies to Support Medical Response

The team will also set up a temporary structure(s) at the Blue Mountain Hospital in John Day.

(SALEM, Ore.) - The Oregon National Guard, in conjunction with the Oregon Department of Administrative Services (DAS) is scheduled to provide and deliver 150 military cots along with blankets and hygiene packs to La Grande, Oregon, March 26.

The supplies were requested by Union County Emergency Management to support ongoing medical response in Oregon.

Oregon is CLOSED: Governor Issues Stay Home Order

Failure to comply with the order will be considered an immediate danger to public health and subject to a Class C misdemeanor.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - Governor Kate Brown today issued Executive Order 20-12, directing everyone in Oregon to stay at home to the maximum extent possible and adding to the list of businesses that will be temporarily closed to stem the spread of COVID-19 in Oregon.

The order is effective immediately, and remains in effect until ended by the Governor.
