Turner Woman Dead and Husband Hospitalized with Gunshot Wounds

Detectives do not believe anyone else was involved in the incident

(TURNER, Ore.) - Turner gun fatal Deputies have identified the victim in last night's shooting as 52-year old Judy Stanfill, of Turner. Ms. Stanfill lived at her residence in the 5000 block of Ash Street with her husband, 53-year old Clayton Stanfill.

Mr. Stanfill is currently at the Salem Hospital where he is expected to recover. Deputies were called to the home at 4:26 p.m. Sunday, after a man, Clayton Stanfill, walked into the Turner Fire Department with a gunshot wound.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Christopher Mirasolo A Michigan judge has granted parental rights to a convicted sex offender, providing the man with access to a child who is the product of the rape of a 12-year-old girl.

Sanilac County Circuit Judge Gregory Ross in Michigan has given parental rights to a man that raped a 12-year old girl over a matter of days while he held her and her young friend against their will, threatening their lives.

Teen Arrested for Instagram Threat Against Newport High School

The 16-year old student was arrested for Disorderly Conduct I.

(NEWPORT, Ore.) - instagram threat A threat was made via social media aimed at Newport High School on Sept 26, 2017. Students reported to school staff that they saw a threat on Instagram that targeted Newport High School.

The threat on Instagram read, "The end of NHS is near. RIP NHS 10/24/17." The threatening post was active for a short time, and then removed from Instagram by the author.

The Salvation Army of Las Vegas Responds with Emotional and Spiritual Care after Tragedy

The Las Vegas Salvation Army is providing food and hydration for those waiting in long lines to donate.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - salvation army The Salvation Army has dispatched a mobile canteen to the United Blood Services location at 6930 W. Charleston Blvd. to provide food and hydration for those waiting in long lines to donate. Mobile canteens are also being considered at other strategic locations in the city.

Needs are also being evaluated at the Thomas and Mack Center, which has be opened up as a shelter.

Authorities say it is possible Wilson may be responsible for other fires in the northwest.

Alt-Right Equals Right-Wing Hate Groups

Hate can be contagious and therefore must be subdued, not fueled.

(SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.) - Salem-News.com I recommend the media refrain from the use of "alt-right" when reporting on right-wing rallies. We should all stop calling hate-mongers the "alt-right."

The term "alt-right" is nothing more than a sanitized euphemism for hate-mongering groups like white supremacists, the Ku Klux Klan, Neo-Nazis and other such groups who feel that white people are disadvantaged and view other religious and ethnic groups as subhuman.
