Man Reports Being Robbed at Gunpoint in His Home

The suspects wore masks but identified each other by name.

(COLTON, Ore.) - Investigators in Clackamas County say 23-year old Victor Ryan Proffitt of Colton, was robbed at gunpoint early Tuesday at approximately 2:00 AM, when three, masked male suspects forced entry into his residence while demanding money at gunpoint.

87-Year Old Woman Attacked By Four Dogs in Estacada

Investigators say the dog's owners were cooperative.

(ESTACADA, Ore.) - An 87-year old woman survived an attack by four dogs Saturday around 7:25 PM as she was taking her nightly stroll on SE Divers Road in Estacada.

Jim Strovink with the Clackamas Sheriff's Office says Stella A. Severtsen was attacked and bitten by four dogs that escaped from a well enclosed, 8-foot tall chain link kennel area.

Victim Safe and Three Suspects Arrested in Kidnapping Incident

Police believe the kidnapping may have been related to drug money.

(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - Deputies in Clackamas County say three male subjects armed with a handgun kidnapped a man from his home this morning at 7:30 AM, while the woman he lived with hid and managed to get a text message out.

The information allowed police to locate all three suspects and the victim, and the car they were driving as it turned out, was also stolen from the Portland area.

Investigators believe the man had been at this location of his death for eight days.

(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - On Wednesday, Dean Sumpter recognized something peculiar at his neighboring property on South Central Point Road -- his neighbor's vehicle had not moved for a considerable amount of time.

Sumpter alerted the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office patrol division, who responded to this 37-acre parcel of land. During a search, they located the resident dead near his crashed ATV.

Two Bodies Found in Willamette River Positively Identified

The bodies are from separate fatal boating incidents.

(LAKE OSWEGO, Ore.) - Divers in Clackamas County were called out to a report of two bodies floating in the Willamette River at Lake Oswego around 8:30 Tuesday morning.

The first body found yesterday in the river off of Old River Road in Lake Oswego has been positively identified by the Clackamas County Medical Examiners Office as being that of 53-year old Michael David Kennedy.
