Mending Fences in Laos

More than 20,000 people have been killed by the bomblets and more than 98 percent of known cluster bomb victims are civilians with 40 percent of these children.

(SAN FRANCISCO) - Hillary Clinton and America's gift to Laos. Earlier this month U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton became the first high level U.S. official to visit Laos since the Vietnam War.

Although not touted as such, the visit was an effort to mend fences with Laos, the most heavily bombed nation per capita in history.

He faces a long prison sentence if convicted.

News of a Cambodian radio station owner being jailed is both shocking and tragic; however it is not surprising as Human Rights mean little here.

Cambodia: Right to Freedom of Assembly has Been Severely Violated

(HONK KONG) - H.E. Ang Vong Vathna, Cambodia's Minister of Justice, and H.E. Sar Kheng, Cambodia's Minister of Interior. As a nation with a history of terrible violence, Cambodia needs to quickly and thoroughly address a very alarming situation; the shooting of three female garment workers in the Bavet town of Svay Rieng province on 20 February 2012.

Information indicates that the shooting took place as 6,000 workers gathered in solidarity in front of the Kaoway Sports Ltd factory, demonstrating for better work conditions.

The Swashbuckling `Bone Hunters` of Cambodia

Forty years on since Sean Flynn's abduction -- the son of the swashbuckling actor Errol Flynn -- Ivan T. Brecelic reports the 'bone hunters' of Cambodia who are intent on finding the remains of the famous war photographer.

(BANGKOK) - Sean Flynn, missing for 40 years, and Dave MacMillan, the Australian searcher working with Flynn's family to locate Sean's remains. In March, 2010, sensational headlines broke around the world: "Son of Swashbuckling Errol Flynn's remains found."

An Australian and New Zealander, MacMillan and Rotheram had dug up the remains thought to be two photographers who had disappeared in Cambodia in 1970.
