Saxton’s Career Night Falls Short of Win over Arizona State

(Tempe, Ariz) - Beavers logo Sophomore Camille Saxton (Balzac, Alberta) hit a career-high .444 with a best 15 kills, but the Oregon State volleyball team (8-18, 1-11) fell in three to Arizona State (28-30, 19-25, 16-25) on Friday evening in Wells Fargo Arena.

“The first set was the killer – we came back from 18-23, and we had swings at set point that we didn’t put away,” head coach Taras Liskevych said. “Our passing didn’t allow our middles to get many balls, and our outside hitters didn’t do their job other than Camille Saxton, who hit .444. We lost the serving battle, and it’s tough when you’re losing to get out of the funk and orchestrate a way to win.”

Oregon State’s 15 wins this season is best in program history

(CORVALLIS, Ore.) - Beavers logo Senior Courtney Wetzel had a career day as the No. 15 Oregon State women’s soccer team shutout Arizona 3-0 Sunday afternoon on Senior Day. Wetzel tied her career best for points in a game with a goal and two assists in front of friends and family in her last game at Paul Lorenz Field.

“It’s good to go out like that,” Wetzel said following the match. “Once we scored, we knew we could put the team away. It relieved a lot of pressure and we just took it from there.”

Oregon Soccer: Ducks Cruise to Third Straight Victory

(EUGENE, Ore.) - Oregon Ducks The University of Oregon soccer team rolled to a 2-0 win over Arizona State Sunday afternoon in the final 2010 regular-season home match for the Ducks. It was the third straight win for UO, which improved to 7-8-3 overall and 3-3-1 in Pac-10 Conference action.

ASU, which ranked No. 13 in the NCAA Women’s Soccer RPI report generated Monday, dropped to 8-6-3 overall and 2-4-1 in league play.

(PHOENIX, Az.) - Phoenix cop hands planted evidence to the a second officer It took five years to finally be released to the public, but video of a Phoenix Police officer planting evidence on an innocent homeless woman Thursday was well timed. Well timed that is, to coincide with a Murder charge against the same cop, a Phoenix officer named Richard Chrisman.

Police released the video Thursday showing Chrisman arresting a woman right next the medical examiner's office in Phoenix.
