U.S. and Mexico Military Play Increasing Role in Border Operations

(SALEM) - US Mexican joint military task force Robert Plumlee and I enjoy watching the national media play catch-up with our reports from years ago. The game is on again as information about the U.S./Mexican military Joint Task Force continues to emerge.

A new article in the El Paso Times illustrates the reason that officials from both countries have been hesitant to confirm the existence of this military border group; the 1997 shooting death of a young Mexican national by a U.S. Marine.

Police in Arizona Shoot Man Holding 9-Month Old Baby

Scottsdale Officer James Peters has killed six people in the line of duty, in seven 'justified' shooting incidents.

(SCOTTSDALE, AZ) - Scottsdale Police Officer James Peters A grandfather in Scottsdale, Arizona was blasted in the head by a police officer who "thought" the man might have had a weapon.

"There were at least three officers in position to engage the suspect. At least one of the officers thought he saw something in the suspect's hands," Scottsdale Police Sgt. Mark Clark told Arizona's KPNX.

I suggest that the Untied States, is the only country in world, where remembrances could be held virtually every single day of the year for egregious killings of citizens by their other citizens—all indirectly supported by the National Rifle Association.

(LAS CRUCES, N.M.) - U.S. border crossing with Mexico In an e-mail to constituents this month, El Paso Congressman Silvestre Reyes lauded the November opening of a new, high-tech pedestrian crossing system at the Paso del Norte (Santa Fe) Bridge between Ciudad Juarez and El Paso.

With assistance from the Unisys Corporation, the maze-like system uses a combination of revolving doors, hand-held mobile devices and radio frequency identification (RFID) to process US passports; ten fingerprint biometric capture devices were also installed for inclusion in the system, according to Unisys.

Arizona Western College and Main Street Power Announce Completion of 5-Megawatt Solar Technology Installation to drive sustainability, solar education and workforce training.

(YUMA, Ariz.) - Solar power at AWC Arizona Governor Jan Brewer visited AWC to "Flip the Switch" on a 5-megawatt (MW) solar installation that will provide approximately 100 percent of the college's daytime electricity needs.

"As a college that has worked to develop a strong science program, with facilities and scholarships that are the envy of the state, we are thrilled to integrate solar technology into our curriculum and our sustainability plan," stated AWC president Dr. Glenn Mayle.

(GLENDALE, Ariz.) - Jahessye Shockley - missing from Glendale, Ariz. A grandmother in Arizona says that the reason her grandchild hasn't gotten attention for her disappearance is because she is African American.

The girl has been missing for a week, and she has been begging the media to cover her child's disappearance. Jahessye Shockley was last seen on October 11 and disappeared while her mother was out running an errand.
