A community fireworks show will follow the River Rhythms concert series in celebration of Independence Day.

(ALBANY, Ore. ) - City of Albany Oregon The Albany, Oregon Parks and Recreation Department along with the Albany Public Library are hosting some events that have something for everyone.

From the 2014 River Rhythms concert series, to workshops on estate planning, and classes on rock climbing, there is something for every age group.

Jeep Collides With Log Truck on Highway 20 Near Albany

The name of the driver of the Jeep has now been identified by OSP.

(ALBANY, Ore. ) - Oregon State Police are continuing the investigation into Thursday afternoon's serious injury traffic crash involving a sport utility vehicle and an empty log truck along Highway 20 just east of Albany.

The Jeep's driver was extricated by fire personnel and transported by air ambulance to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis with serious injuries.

The truck's driver was not injured. He is identified as 34-year-old Theodore Hilchey from Salem.

Albany Man Arrested on 14 Sex Crime Charges

Police say the victims were allegedly abused over the course of two years.

(ALBANY, Ore. ) - An Albany man faces 14 sex crime charges after he allegedly raped and abused two young kids.

35-year-old Steven Truchon is being held in the Linn County Jail on two counts of first-degree rape, four counts of first-degree sex abuse, four counts of first-degree sodomy, two counts of first-degree unlawful sexual penetration and two counts of using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct.

Armed Suspects Sought in Albany Medical Marijuana Robbery

Deputies believe the residence was targeted because it is a grow site for numerous medical marijuana patients.

(ALBANY, Ore. ) - Linn County Sheriff Bruce Riley reports his office received a report of a home invasion robbery at approximately 3:00 a.m. this morning.

During the investigation deputies learned that up to five suspects forced their way into two residences located on the same piece of residential property.

Body Found in Pond Ruled Homicide

Tim Miller's body was found in a shallow pond located on a large piece of rural property commonly known as the Rockin Red Ranch.

(ALBANY, Or.) - Tim Miller, homicide victim Linn County Sheriff Bruce Riley reports the body found in a pond near Sweet Home on May 7, 2014 has been identified as Tim E. Miller, 56-years old of Sweet Home. Miller's son, Jason Miller also of Sweet Home, reported his father missing to the Sheriff's Office on May 6, 2014.

An autopsy was conducted yesterday which revealed that Miller died from homicidal violence. Miller's body was found in a shallow pond located on a large piece of rural property commonly known as the Rockin Red Ranch.

Body Found in River Has been Identified

The identification was made by the Oregon State Police Identification Bureau using fingerprint records from one of Brown's previous arrests. The Oregon State Medical Examiner's office examined the body and determined there was no evidence of foul play.

(ALBANY, Or.) - 45-year old Jared Ethan Brown of Portland Linn County Sheriff Bruce Riley reports the body found in the Willamette River near Albany on April 20, 2014, has been identified as 45-year old Jared Ethan Brown of Portland.

Detectives learned Brown had recently attempted suicide by jumping into a river from a bridge in the Roseburg area.

Preliminary Information: Double Fatal Traffic Crash - Highway 34 near Lebanon in Linn County

The highway was closed over four hours during the investigation.

(ALBANY, Or.) - fatal crash Oregon State Police (OSP) is continuing the investigation into the cause of an early Saturday morning double fatal traffic crash involving two vehicles on Highway 34 west of Lebanon. The names of the four occupants in one of the vehicles will be released later pending confirmation of next of kin notifications for the two deceased victims.

Preliminary investigation indicates on April 5, 2014 at approximately 1:22 a.m., a passenger car driven by a female with three male occupants was eastbound on Highway 34 near milepost 17.

Robert Raymond Ramsey reportedly punched out a teen girl's car window, and was caught on videotape.

(ALBANY, Or.) - Robert Raymond Ramsey Linn County Sheriff Bruce Riley reports his deputies have arrested an Albany man for a road rage incident.

On March 27, 2014, at approximately 7:00 p.m., the Linn County Sheriff's Office received a call from a 17-year old female reporting someone had just punched and broke the passenger side win dow to her 1995 Mercury Tracer.

Albany Teen Killed by Train

The victim was identified as Sara-Tessa Raechelle Lytle, from Albany.

(ALBANY, Or.) - Death investigation Linn County Sheriff Bruce Riley reports his deputies are investigating the death of a 16-year- old girl that was struck and killed by a train near Highway 99E and Beta Drive, Albany.

On March 29, 2014, at about 11:10 p.m. the Sheriff's Office 9-1-1 Dispatch Center received a call from a Union Pacific Railroad employee reporting that a person was walking south on the railroad tracks in a dark, unlit area.

UPDATED: WOMAN LOCATED Police Seek Help Locating Missing Albany Woman

OSP is asking anyone that has observed or has any information to contact Northern Command Center at 1-800-452-7888.

(ALBANY, OR) - Oregon State Police (OSP) is requesting the assistance of the public in locating a missing woman that was traveling from Siletz to the Amity area.

The woman is identified as Danielle Derenzo, age 29, from Amity. Ms. Derenzo is driving a 1989 white Lincoln Town Car bearing Oregon License Plate SCA 258. There is a bumper sticker on the rear of the vehicle that says, "Live, Laugh, Love."
