Six People Facing Charges in Connection with 2015 Homicide of Robert Huggins

Investigators said they may make additional arrests.

(PORTLAND, Ore.) - In the evening hours of Wednesday April 27, 2016, Portland Police Bureau Homicide detectives booked four people into jail in connection with the 2015 homicide of 56-year-old Robert Lee Huggins. Two other people were already in custody and are facing new charges.

Huggins' body was found by loggers just before 6 a.m on July 1, 2015, in the middle of an open field near Ridgefield, Washington.

Katy Roe is a well-known local girl. Where is she?

(DEPOE BAY, Ore.) - Katy Roe has been missing over a week. 22-year old Katharine "Katy" Olivia Roe disappeared early on Sunday April 17, 2016 from Depoe Bay, OR. She was last seen leaving the Wing Wa Restaurant, a downtown bar, at 2:00 am.

Katy is 4’9″ tall, 90 pounds with long brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing black pants and a white long-sleeve shirt. She was alone, headed for the mile-long walk to her home in Southpoint.

Marijuana Extracts NOT FOR SALE! (Yet) for 21+ in Oregon

OMMP must draft rules before stores may sell products to the recreational market.

(SALEM, Ore.) - On Tuesday, Oregon Governor Kate Brown signed a bill that allows anyone 21 and older to buy cannabis (marijuana) extracts and pot-infused edibles from Oregon dispensaries.

However, the Oregon Health Authority added that it must draft rules for the sale of extracts and edibles before stores may sell them to recreational users.

(SALEM, Ore.) - In February, ex-US marine and Gulf War Veteran Ken O’Keefe was detained from boarding an airplane because he opted out of the TSA body scanner, agreeing instead to a physical body search, and was refused. That was the last thing O’Keefe needed, or expected. He travels a lot, and this response was a first.

Ken is standing up to the injustice he experienced. If it can happen to O’Keefe, then any of us are at risk.

Oregon Cannabinoid Extracts Conundrum Settled by OHA

Dispensaries can continue to sell extracts to OMMP clients, says OHA.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Currently, the legality of extracts, oils and concentrates has been on the radar. There was a lapse in the timing for legal sales, and so it had to be gone over with a fine tooth comb. This is OHA's answer to the situation at hand:

Dispensaries may continue to sell or transfer extracts that they have in stock as of March 1, 2016, to OMMP patients with a valid registry identification card. Dispensaries may not accept new transfers of extracts from unregistered processors. Processors may begin to apply with OHA on April 1, 2016.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Were Oregon voters boondoggled when they “legalized” marijuana? Some say "Yes". But not by those that brought it forward; no... it was a political move, well played. Three times within the text, it was said that Measure 91 would "retain current medical marijuana laws". Three times. It passed by a 12-point margin by Oregon voters.

Then, the Legislature apparently was overcome by the impression that the (adult and most likely literate) voters did not understand marijuana and they decided to implement changes, for the benefit of said naive adults.

(SALEM, Ore.) - When Oregonians responded en masse to allow recreational use of marijuana for adults 21+, they did not expect sick and dying patients to be negatively impacted.

Sadly, it has been an ongoing fight since the day Governor Brown signed it into law. The people of Oregon believed this was a good thing. Finally! The nonsensical prohibition of cannabis, an herb used for 5,000 years, was over in our fair state. Of course the challenge with the Federal government still rages on, but locally, we have made incredible headway. Or so we thought.

Activists say the French are paying the cost for having voted against Israel in a recent European boycott against Israeli commercial goods.

(SALEM, Ore.) - A human rights activist, referring to Israel's anger over a European boycott against its commercial goods, has accused the Israeli regime of involvement in the Paris deadly attacks.

AWD News, a European news website, reports that after multiple attacks in Paris, Mary Hughes Thompson, a leader of the Palestinian liberation movement, said she believed that Israel was behind these deadly attacks.
