Sep-29-2011 12:59TweetFollow @OregonNews Study Finds Psychological and Sexual Effects of CircumcisionSalem-News.comCircumcision Associated with Adult Difficulty in Identifying and Expressing Feelings and Circumcised Men More Likely to Use an Erectile Dysfunction Drug.
(BOSTON) - A preliminary study published in the International Journal of Men’s Health investigated the effect of circumcision trauma on the personality trait alexithymia, a difficulty in identifying and expressing feelings. Three hundred men were provided with a questionnaire that has been shown to be a reliable method of testing this trait. The circumcised men had alexithymia scores 19.9 percent higher that the men who were not circumcised. The circumcised men were also 4.53 times more likely to use an erectile dysfunction drug. According to a previous study, aleximythia is almost twice as common in men as in women. "I’m pleased to read about this study because it provides more support for the idea that circumcision has long-term psychological effects on men," stated Ronald Goldman, Ph.D., author of Circumcision: The Hidden Trauma . "I hope this information is communicated to parents who may be considering circumcision for a son." The psychological effects of circumcision on men are discussed in detail in Dr. Goldman's book, the product of an investigation that included hundreds of contacts with men, parents, and medical and mental health professionals. In the chapter on adult emotional impact of circumcision, the book describes symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) observed by mental health clinicians. It shows how long-term psychological symptoms of circumcision in men are consistent with PTSD symptoms. A common PTSD symptom is emotional numbing. Visit: International Journal of Men's Health

The word "circumcision" is nothing more than playing games with semantics to camouflage it for what it really is, a bizarre sexual mutilation torture ritual. If a person circumcised a male cat or dog they would go to jail for animal abuse, yet a person can circumcise a male human without consent and that is somehow okay. Boys not only do not have the same rights as girls, boys don't even have the same rights as animals! What kind of sick and evil society would allow that to be the case?
