'Salem Shares' Clothing and School Supplies Swap

Any unclaimed items will be donated to local charities

Salem Shares

(SALEM, Ore.) - The University of Phoenix Oregon Campus is working with local non-profit Salem Shares to host a Clothing and School Supplies Swap at their Salem location on Saturday, Oct. 2 from 12pm-2pm. The event is open to the public.

Salem Shares was founded by University of Phoenix students Amy Coven and Tina Stringfield. The working single mothers started the non-profit as a way to give back to the Salem-Keizer community. The organization, whose motto is “Helping People, Help Themselves, Help Others,” has hosted several successful swaps in the Salem area in the past year, and hopes to expand their reach in the future.

  • WHAT:
    • Salem Shares CLOTHING & SCHOOL SUPPLIES SWAP: Salem-area residents are invited to bring in gently used shirts, blouses, skirts, dresses and pants of all shapes and sizes, as well as any working school supplies to exchange with other items in the same category. Salem Shares asks that participants bring at least one donateable piece of clothing or schools supplies. Any unclaimed items will be donated to local charities.
