(SALEM, Ore.) - Sheikh Yousef Amer, a Al-Azhar university professor in Egypt, stated in an interview with Pakistani Express News TV, saying that "...The Muslim world is in danger of extremism, sectarianism and terrorism and new generations of Muslims are highly affected by them."

The chairmen of the Board of three Egyptian organizations currently visiting Pakistan, commented that everyday people and scholars are not able to issue a fatwa, stating that the person must be familiar with the Islamic community and should be aware of present conditions of Muslims.

Amer also mentioned that Fatwas of Saudi and Qatari muftis are the reasons for the diffusion terrorism in the region.

He also added that an assembly of Muslim Scholars to supervise and to fight against such fatwas would be useful and necessary as well.
