Acclaimed Author to Speak on Citizen Responsibility and Empowerment

(SALEM, Oregon) - Author Paul Loeb will give a free public lecture on citizen responsibility Oct. 3rd at 7:30 PM in Cone Chapel at Willamette University.

Loeb will discuss how people can make their voices heard and their actions count in working for change. He will explain how to act on one’s deepest beliefs and make a difference despite obstacles.

Loeb has spent more than 30 years researching and writing about citizen responsibility and empowerment, asking what makes some people choose lives of social commitment while others abstain.

He has written five books and lectured at 300 colleges and universities across the country. His writing has been covered by the Associated Press and United Press International, cited in Congressional debates, and praised, quoted and discussed in an array of publications.
