Iron Dome System Deployed on the Lebanese Border in Fear of Hezbollah's Defense

Some military analysts doubt Iron Dome system will hold up against hordes of missiles

(SALEM, Ore.) - According to FoxNews.com, Israel has deployed the Iron Dome defense system near the Lebanese border due to their fear of Hezbollah's defensive power.

In this context, Col. Yoni Saada Marom, commander of Israel’s Active Defense Air Wing, said the military drills "were not a direct reaction to recent events", though he believes Hezbollah is potentially a threat to Israel.

"We saw that during Operation Protective Edge [aka: 2014 Gaza War] the Iron Dome faced one kind of challenge in the south," Col Marom said to FoxNews.

"Now, we are dealing with the challenges and scenarios that we think the enemies from the north will bring. One of the scenarios could be that, like Hamas, they will try and challenge us with a variety of threats simultaneously -- which is a great challenge -- but we are developing our concepts of operation."

Israeli military officials said one of these scenarios is that they (Hezbollah) "are a threat to us" in addition to Hamas, which is a huge challenge. However, they are developing and/or modifying policies based on military defeats.

FoxNews said some military analysts doubt that the Iron Dome system will hold up against hordes of missiles that could be fired from different locations, while keeping the 90 percent interception rate claimed by the IDF during last year’s Gaza conflict.

Despite some successes against Hezbollah in Syria, FoxNews says Israel's security is more threatened.

Fox proclaimed that "Hezbollah remains arguably an even more potent threat to Israeli security than at any time since the Second Lebanon War in 2006"; because, they say, Hezbollah has at least 10 times the firepower and more advanced technology than Hamas in Gaza.

Said to be made from DOD rejected plans stolen from DOD- you betcha this iron dome a stupid deployment and will fail in a bad way--BECAUSE DOD REJECTS are not worth anything or DOD would have them and use them. Stop stealing other people's property as Yaweh instructed through Moses on Mt. Sinai. When U gonna learn God means business.

This will fail in a massive way ; believed to have used rejects but stolen rejects of DoD so if DoD rejects something betcha its gonna fail big time. Like Hilary Clinton.

"due to their fear of Hezbollah's defensive power" Defensive power? That makes little sense unless Israeli has thoughts of losing their butt in Lebanon again.... Hezbollah is busy fighting in Syria... I'm thinking the Israeli's are sensing a weakness somewhere and feel the urge to start yet another war..

I think the opening sentance
"Israel has deployed the Iron Dome defense system near the Lebanese border due to their fear of Hezbollah's defensive power."
should read:
"Israel has deployed the Iron Dome defense system near the Lebanese border due to their fear of Hezbollah's offensive power."

EDITOR: Yes, we agree....but Foxnews.com actually said "defensive",  so it their statement that is nonsensical. Thanks for your attempt to help though, much appreciated!
