Sep-16-2009 22:43TweetFollow @OregonNews Are the Current Protests Just Racial Hatred?Gordon Duff Salem-News.comMillions of Americans are so devolved that the shame and fear they suffer from having to be led by a person of color is a humiliation they can only respond to with insanity.
(CINCINNATI, Ohio) - How is a minority of extremists with no real cause of any kind getting so much news? Could it be because they are working for the same scamsters that own the news, buy the government and are duped into selling America to the highest bidder? Is health care an issue? Nobody has shown one iota of real issue here. Illegal aliens already get public healthcare. Just ask any hospital. They walk in the door and they are treated. The taxpayer foots the bill as they have for decades. Wilson knew he was lying when he screamed out in Congress and he knew every Republican would support him. Is Obama raising taxes? Not hardly. Taxes must be raised so we can start paying our bills. Otherwise, we are a nation of petty crooks borrowing from our children for a free ride today. More lies. Did Obama collapse the economy? Does he own a time machine? More lies. Did Obama start the wars we are losing? More lies there too. Lies. All lies. Why lie? One reason and one reason only. It is all about race. Tea Baggers, 9-12ers, milita types, "gun rights" types all have no legitimate causes whatsoever. Nobody has heard a single sensible word that hasn't been proven by fact checkers to be phony. I have sworn "bible thumping" Christians who send me lie after lie every day. They know the emails they send are lies. They don't care. Their bible has the part about "false witness" redacted along with "thou shalt not steal." I suspect it wouldn't take a genius to show that Jesus might not get along very well with racists. A racist who lies and only steals when nobody is looking isn't a good Christian though so many love to call themselves that. Lies. Once you have sent out a lie in an email, a known lie, a Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh lie, the ones easily proven false, lies about what bills say, lies about things we can see and touch, once you have sinned like that and sin again, and again, no commandment has any value. What does the world think about American Christians when they continually are seen, in the papers, on the news, spewing threats, race hatred and are caught lying with every breath? Any Fox News lie, any internet lie, no matter how wrong, no matter how evil, is justified. Why? President Obama is black. Millions of Americans are so devolved that the shame and fear they suffer from having to be led by a person of color is a humiliation they can only respond to with insanity. Hiding behind a phony god, one who loves those who lie and hate and calling him "the one god" is an abomination. If you want to see what a real scoundrel is, look for people who call anyone who disagrees with them communists. Yelling "commie" has been a badge of ignorance for lower class trash since the end of WW2. Someone works for equal rights, they are commies. Veterans want their bonus or decent hospitals, they are commies. Someone complains because we start wars for oil and bucks, they are commies too. Anyone who thinks or tells the truth is a commie. On the other side, we have the folks calling the names. We don't call all of them Nazi scum but we should. It is what they are. Beck and Bush are two of my favorites. Both claim to be divinely inspired, infallible. Both sinned, whores, drugs, drunkenness much of their lives. Neither raised a finger for their country or built anything of value. Both collected millions preaching values to others that they never had themselves. Hypocricy and relgion is the breeding ground of Fascism, our stopover on our slow descent into feudalism, where conservatism always aims. Build a society of two groups, aristocracy and serfs. Hold it all together with thuggery. What is a fascist? Someone who is a racist, who is against unions and favors big business over the rights of working people is a Fascist. Fascists talk tough, always have god on their side and aren't afraid to lie, cheat and steal as long as big money and newspapers are on their side. How do we get Fascists who pretend, somehow that supporting the powerful against the weak makes them patriots? The conservative theories of give me everything and let me take anything I can steal are the opposite of the founding fathers who wanted an end to the class privilege we saw restored in America since Reagan. Our new America is like the 18th century all over with a wealthy aristocracy, hired thugs running our streets and packs of idiots blindly following King George. Instead of the Stamp Act, we have health insurance companies and the oil monopoly bleeding us into poverty. Never in our history have the working people of America lost so much, standard of living, financial security and civil liberties as they did under "conservative" rule, rule very much of the style of King George, the real "conservative" influence behind the "tea bag" revolution. Are these people who don't know right from wrong? The world is filled with evil. There have been many holocausts since World War 2. They are still going on. Soldiers die for no reason. Veterans are homeless. Children go without health care. Murder on a mass scale goes on around the world. None of it matters, not as much as that black man in the Whitehouse. Isn't it funny that millions can be murdered in country after country and some very religious people only protest threats to lower profits for health insurance companies but wouldn't walk across the street to stop a baby from being thrown onto a fire? How do people become that insane, don't they know that turning away from evil is evil? Our news loves reporting our insane minority of crackpots. Their signs and t-shirts make good news. The idiots themselves love the attention. The rest of the world and the majority of Americans only feel shame and bitter disappointment. We used to rage against our flag being burned and dragged thru the streets in countries we now consider our enemies. I see much worse than this on television every day. The people doing it claim to be Americans. All claim to be following direct orders from god. Many claim to hear his voice in their heads. Christians who know their religion, know of one whose message is being proclaimed. Doesn't the bible say something about an angel and his buddies going bad and getting into the temptation business? We can't talk about that. Religion runs on money. Funny thing, you tell one lie, then another, let one commandment get trashed and pretty much all of them are gone and you are working for the other side. When you see Islamic mobs carrying signs: AMERICA IS THE GREAT SATAN did you ever guess that they might actually be seeing something we aren't? We lost many of our freedoms during the Bush administration. Government fell into the hands of special interest and money and jobs disappeared as never before in our history. I drive thru city after city of empty homes, closed factories and human despair. The richest country on Earth with massive budget surpluses was turned into smoldering wreckage through human greed and ignorance. Now a crazy few want it back. There may be a light of freedom left that they haven't extinguished yet. They love blaming illegal aliens, the ones who clean their homes, cook their meals, pick their fruit and do the work they are too good for. They love hating everyone of color, ethnicity or religion. They always have. Who are they? They are the ignorant, the violent, the klan, the lynch mobs, the war mongers and the ignorant followers of anyone who howls and cries while blaming someone else for disasters caused by folks so close to us. Who destroyed America? Not the illegal aliens who work for slave wages to support our economy. Who destroyed America? Not the African Americans who are our soldiers, our co-workers and our neighbors, those of us who live in real America. America was destroyed, no doubt about that. It was killed by hate and ignorance. It was killed by its own religion, Christianity, the failure of Christian leadership to teach brotherhood, justice, truth and morality. Love and brotherhood has been excised from many of our churches as though it were a cancer. Islam teaches that racism is the worst sin. Can any so called Christian find one word in the gospels that has Jesus talk about the color of someone's skin? How do you know you may be a racist? If you go to church and look around you and see only white faces and don't live in "middle of nowhere Nebraska" chances are you might be hearing a message that Jesus might not approve of. Take out your phone. How many numbers in memory are black, Hispanic or Islamic friends? 10%? None? Are African Americans, Jews or Muslims or Hispanics invited to your home? Are they a part of your life? They represent millions of Americans. If they are missing from your world but so much a part of America can you really be an American? How many Asian American's do you know? Do you call them gooks or chinks? Are all people of Middle Eastern descent terrorists to you? When was the last time you were at a Greek Orthodox wedding? Do you think all French people are evil as so many ignorant Americans do? When you feel cheated do you say you have been "jewed" or "gyped?" When you say "decent people" do you mean people who go to your particular church, no matter how strange its beliefs or worship practices? Are decent people only from the same part of Europe that your family fled, perhaps for freedom, perhaps from the law? When you see Native Americans, are you aware of why so many live in poverty and how many of them we butchered or how much land we stole? If you live in the South do you still live with the lie that the Civil War was about "states rights" and not to defend human slavery? Do you love calling people who want to be paid a decent wage for hard work "liberals" or "communists?" Is anyone who doesn't share your hatreds a "leftist?" Some of us keep America alive in our hearts. Some of us know of a Constitution with the Bill of Rights attached, not just the part about guns. Some of us remember why a million Americans died in war, wars to free America and the world from slavery, much of that slavery at the hands of other Americans. Some of us remember that few brutal acts have been committed by man without claiming it was the will of God, many of those acts at the hands of those claiming to serve a Christian god. Some march for lies, justified by beliefs in racism, beliefs in greed and envy. Some march out of hate. More, in a country where half the people are on anti-psychotic drugs or sex pills of one kind or another, march because they no longer having a strong enough spark of humanity in them. People can't see or touch history. We love to reinvent history but it never really works. You can only keep stink buried so long. The stink of what is being done now won't stay buried. We are building a dark age, an age of shame that will stain this generation for centuries to come. We can only hope that history is kind to the martyrs and prophets from every walk of life who kept their humanity when so many threw theirs away, sold their manhood cheap. The shame of it is that the many will suffer at the hands of the few. We are victims of our own technologies. Money buys noise. Every idea has a pimp. The more sick an idea, the more profitable, the more hate filled, the more likely it is to spread like a disease, fed by money. Should we pull the plug on the internet, send the phony news networks packing? Would this bring back the old days when mobs had to meet at night wearing hoods? We need those times back. I don't want to see their bloated faces. I would rather see the hoods and the secret handshakes. That this kind of people no longer have to hide is the worst thing that could happen to this country. Gordon Duff speaks for a distinct minority. Though I agree with many of his observations, I find that he interwinds some facts with mostly opinion, and the latter from my experience is misleading. I went to his main website and researched his articles. He has some good points that's for sure, but he will never get fellow Vietnam combat veterans enmasse to support most of his views. Reminds me of many in the Vietnam Veterans Against the War. I will gladly compare my military records with his or anyone in the VVAW.
Editor: Glad you are so sure of yourself, why is it that you don't use a name? Credibility begins with a real identity. Maybe we run in very different circles, but I know a hell of a lot of VN Veterans who see life the way Gordon does. Having said that, I also see in Gordon's writing a willingness to add praise where it is due, regardless of the political party. Those are just my observations. At any rate, thanks for your service.

"All veterans speaking for others should be vetted. All veterans expressing opinions should be listened to but a concensus should be reached and veterans need to be united, brothers, and not split over political issues. Gordon Duff USMC Vietnam 0311 100% disabled veteran" Apparently only the opinion of Gordon counts? As a Devil Dog Vet myself, I find this article, and the comments of Mr. Duff repulsive. Should we all think in lockstep Mr. Duff? Or does my opinion of Obama, based on his ignorant policies somehow noy count since I don't share your own?

can I comment on the comments? You go, editor anonymous should be - anonymous, such an appropriate screen name for him, and after reading your replies to him, (I initially skipped because I am seeking to see some kind of epiphany amongst the citizens, in fact, praying for an epiphany) - but your comments would make me subscribe to your paper again if I had a job!
francfist September 21, 2009 3:41 pm (Pacific time)
Just for you editor - didn't you get my apology? Your comments impressed me. I am a 60 yr old computer dunce, and a poet with a degree from UPS in writing. See - I even assumed you would know: UPS.
Have you ever thought about a poet's corner in your paper?
I would be happy to help with very low pay. I served as poetry editor for college "literary" journal. And why not a return to the serial stories of newspaper's esteemed past? Just a suggestion.
Editor: I am always open to ideas, you can reach me at this address, thanks: tim@salem-news.com

Editors: I am human, I have a song to sing, my national anthem, my prayer, my mantra, and you must dislike the concept of free speech
Editor: I am human also but this is a business and free speech does not force me to approve your comments, dig? I don't think yours were flushed today or anything, so I don't even know where you are coming from. Look at it this way: all reasonable and intelligent comments will be approved. If yours are not, then....

Anon et al: You are absolutely Right, sir: You "don't get it." Republic defined: "republic (as in "democracy") n. : a political system in which the supreme power lies in a body of citizens who can elect people to represent them." Election-choice still rules, we have no king, nor czar, nor dictator;only a new President with huge mandate for reform and change of high consequence and tremendous difficulties created by past 40 years of false-conservative, heavlily corporate-funded/contrived conflabulations. Every choice has inevitable consequence; we now pay the price for poor choices over forty years preceding Pres.Obama, multiplied by unprecedented refusal of small deadly-intentioned and racist driven neo-con cabal who cry further confusion of any kind to bring on conflict from which they hope to construct still another futile, febrile, falsely-conservative, clearly anti-Constitutional and openly democracy-damaging super-elite and corporate-funded attack on true American values. Long ago recognized is principle that cure for any confusion in democracy is --still further, deeper, more drastic and determined true democracy. Further signals from Seaside soon, friends et al, given the grace of great people in grand and growing strong community.

while the republicans and democrats fight, the same agenda continues on. more wars for world domination, resources and the military industrial complex, more taxes, the complete destruction of the Constitution and Bill of Rights, and the end of the republic of the U.S. Democracy? the definition of democracy is those who have the most money, the heart of wanting power, and the soul of greed, will get their 51%. That is why democracy does not work. The REPUBLIC works, if it was given a chance. And I dont mean "republicans" they are all traitors and sell outs. I mean the Republic, and for which it stands. Democracy = civil war, and the complete destruction of this country. Watch and see. Its already happening, which is exactly what the elite intended. By the way...where are all the left anti-war people now? Its ok to expand wars and kill innocent civilians, now that obama is president? I dont get it.

I will second that editor , welcome back Henry !

To all:
Will state that article is right on the money for 99 prcent of what it reports.
"Informed opinion" beyond ignorant, aberrant, denial and psychotic-reaction, with 50-plus reliable sources from Internet, historians, social scientists, psychologists, et al document that statement.
Personal feelings expressed here, clearly all undocumented, is unmistakeable psychiatric symptom reflecting radical Right and racist distorted and perverted misunderstandings of reality, for which nation is now and will continue to pay dearly, deeply, desperately if allowed to continue, abusing the First Amendment by lack of responsible, accountable and checkable signature, allowing cowardly and contemptuous hide-behind-anon statement in public forum.
ID self with working phone to Editor Tim for rapid summarized response refuting Far Right-pandering UN-proven pap from those so benighted the truth is unrecognizable when plainly stated from proven sources.
Editor: Welcome back Hank!

Dick K is correct Gordon's view are the minority , if they were the majority we would not be in mess we are in today with two wars and economic problems . Dick killians radical views, similar to the bush policy makers , are also in the minority most Americans are some where in-between and confused as hell .

Prez Obama accepts Joe Wilsons apology and says the tea party protesters are protesting govt. not his race. What gives? I guess just because you disagree with his policies doesn't automatically make you a racist like most of you think it does.

I say we start a BAKE SALE for Obama's relatives: "Barack Obama's broken promise to African village (Barry's grandfather was elder and witchdoctor) This Is London ^ | 7/25/08 | David Cohen Barack Obama's broken promise to African village David Cohen, Evening Standard 25.07.08 It is an extraordinary sight to walk into a basic two-room house under a mango tree in rural east Africa and discover what is essentially a shrine to Barack Obama. The small brick house with no running water, a tin roof and roving chickens, goats and cows is owned by Sarah Obama, Barack's 86-year-old step-grandmother. Inside, the walls are decorated with a 2008 Obama election sticker, an old "Barack Obama for Senate" poster on which he has written "Mama Sarah Habai [how are you?]", a 2005 calendar that says "The Kenyan Wonder Boy in the US", and more than a dozen family photos. But this bucolic scene in his father's village of Kogelo near the Equator in western Kenya conceals a troubling reality that, until now, has never been spoken about. Barack Obama, the Evening Standard can reveal, after we went to the village earlier this month, has failed to honour the pledges of assistance that he made to a school named in his honour when he visited here amid great fanfare two years ago."

" who has risked his life for generations to tell a true story?" The guy who was beaten by an Afghan mob and all but thanked them for it? And the guy who claimed the American army was being routed when it was on the outskirts of Baghdad? Yes, that's him. He's a hoot. Your articles don't grate on me. They make me wonder why some people are the way they are. Incidentally, I appreciate that many on this site served their country even if I don't agree with their world view.
Dick Killian September 18, 2009 9:51 am (Pacific time)
Editor you are mischaracterizing. What do you know about returning combat veterans from Vietnam? We all have different experiences and opinions but the majority via poll after poll show that we do not share Gordon Duffs perspectives. We are very familiar with people like Mr. Duff and the VVAW, and they represent a very tiny minority viewpoint. They usually mix up a few isolated facts with fantasy to pursue a far left radical agenda which never gains traction except for a very small group of misinformed malcontents. You are right there are many who claim to be Vietnam veterans along with other things such as claimed medals for heroism. We vets have been at the forefront of making these false claims a prosecutable crime. The VVAW and many who have claimed to be Iraqi war veterans are under investigation at this time and many have already been outed. John Kerry surrounded himself with false Vietnam veterans and several even testified under oath in front of Congress. Look up recent polls to see how current military personnel perceive Kerry. All of these (essentially criminals) are alligned with far left organizations. Regarding the audiences people like Gordon Duff reach out to as being small, well out of 300 million people what percentage read him? But when it comes to statements out of the whitehouse, then consider this: President Obama says federally funded abortions are not part of his health care bill. Then why aren't the feminists showing up with tanks and bulldozers at the White House? By the same token Obama says, 'Joe Wilson said I lied? He lied! My health care bill does not cover illegals.' If that's so, how come La Raza has not been storming the gates of the White House and calling him a racist? Because they know it's a sham and they have nothing to worry about except from those like me and the vast majority of the voters. Now that is fact and no amount of wishing and hoping is going to change that. We are growing and getting stronger by the minute. We are Americans and we love our country and many of us have fought for it, and we continue to fight for it.
Dick Killian September 18, 2009 8:28 am (Pacific time)
I think it's great people like Gordon Duff can find forums (albeit tiny audiences) to peddle their opinions, though his articles are on the light side of primary-sourced facts. I am also a decorated war veteran and if you look at any scientifically constructed poll you will see that the opinions of Gordon Duff or people that you find in groups similar to Vietnam Veterans Against the War (who by the way have been proven to have a huge percentage of members who are non-veterans claiming to be war veterans) have very little in common. The vast majority of both active-duty and veterans (especially the combat veterans) do not agree with those like Gordon Duff, and that is the way it is. In terms of insulting those who are protesting at townhalls and those hundreds of thousands who went to DC on 9/12 (millions all over America), these are people of all political parties and racial groups. Sure the radical media cherry-picked out specific sub-groups and signage, that's their MO and the primary reason their circulations and audiences are shrinking. I recall the screams of "racism" back in the 60's, it faded because it was for distration purposes, and so is it today. You can go back in history and bring up anything but it is now, and we have problems that need to be addressed. Obama won the election, but that does not give him the right to "rule", which he is now learning. Do not ignore the majority of voters. See the recent votes on ACORN? Ask yourself why seven senators and 75 congressman endorsed Acorn and the overwhelming majority didn't. Obama has got to retool, but he is already a lame duck, so my guess is we may have some chilling moments ahead, but America will prevail over these dark forces.
Editor: Well isn't that nice of you to take a shot at knowing the size of our audience. As usual all someone of your persuasion can do is make up fictitious crap. We have days where we see over 58k visitors in 24 hours, I guess that is your description of 'tiny'. Actually, we have a staff packed with combat veterans and because they have been to war, naturally they are against war. You talk about the VVAW having fake members? Funny again, I had to deal with not one but two fake VN vets recently in a story about the Traveling Vietnam Wall. Not one but two of those guys were completely making it up as they went, and one was busted through my story by the POW/MIA group and the Navy SEAL's caught the other. Funny, neither were "liberal" - in fact they were both obvious right wingers clear as day. Once again they were liars, seems to be such an enormous problem for you guys that you will never get past it. Short sighted storytellers, that is your group. Also, I like your inference that racism was blown out of proportion in the 60's, that's as much of a crock as anyone is likely to make up today. Folks reading this, especially the younger generation, when these guys came back from Vietnam there was hardly a single one who wanted to brag or talk about it. Now it is lauded and paraded all over the place. Friend, you and your GOP friends are the dark forces you refer to.
Cam September 17, 2009 9:43 pm (Pacific time)
Anyone else shocked to find a grown man actually wrote this? It's so deranged it Fisks itself.
Editor: Is that a reference to Robert Fisk, who has risked his life for generations to tell a true story? I somehow don't think Gordon, a decorated Marine Vietnam Veteran would mind that too much. Funny, other people have written to expressly compliment this article and it is reference in an article by our Religion Writer Ken Ramey who was inspired by it today. Of course I resent your lame and debasing approach to this, but I'm sure Gordon will get a chuckle out of it if he even has time to check the comments. I unfortunately have to put up with this crap from guys like you day in and day out. Anyway, if nothing else, it is fun to see articles like this grate on people like you. We all knew that if this country actually survived eight years of Bush, that we would have our day.

Editor...I had very simple questions..and you did not answer one of them. you just called me names. I already wrote Tim King in regards to my disgust with you.

Gordon I believe the organized opposition to the President use any and all means available , this includes peoples inherent ignorance towards others different from themselves . If Clinton was elected they would use peoples sexism as a tool against her . I think the bottom line for the opposition is the bottom line . I do not believe all who oppose the President are racist , altho a number are . I believe this is more about a struggle for power and control using all available tools to manipulate the unthinking population . Unfortunately their are thing about the Obama administration I do not care for coming from an ultra left position . Of course I believe Obama to be head and shoulders above his predecessor .

nameless wonder? is your name "editor"? hi "editor" my name is "anon" lol. by the way, look it up, your lord and savior obama just stated that it is not about race. Look it up. Which makes this article, and your comments, null and void. Or, obama is not telling the truth etc. And, are you threatening me using the term he is a marine? Is he gonna shoot me or something? I will listen to facts when you give them to me. So far, all I have seen is name calling. And this article has NO facts or basis of facts. And, not posting facts that I post. I have now had 2 or 3 posts, that fit in with salem-news rules, that have not been posted. Love that power dont ya? Did your marine brother go to DC and talk with people there? No, he didnt. I know people who did. Your marine brother needs to quit reading the internet, and get out with the people and reality. If you give me facts, instead of name calling, I will listen. Until then, all I see is name calling. I gave facts, but you dont post them.
Anonymous September 17, 2009 2:25 pm (Pacific time)
Gordon: good try. Learned from Israel did ya? If you cant answer the facts, just call them names. It is people, such as yourself, that is dividing this country, not the protestors. How about answering some FACTS, instead of calling people names? Did obama not campaign on ending the wars? YES OR NO. Did obama expand the wars? Not just the middle east, but Columbia and somalia? YES OR NO. Did obama say he would not hire lobbyists? YES OR NO
Did obama hire nothing BUT lobbyists? YES OR NO. I could go on, for page after page. And Gordon, when I protested against bush wars, many democrats stood by my side, now that I am protesting the SAME WARS, democrats have disappeared. WHERE ARE THEY GORDON? where are they? Where the heck are you???? change your mind did ya? Its ok to kill innocent civilians in other countries now? I am fine with black people, but I am not fine with your attitude of dividing our country with your rhetoric, and I am not fine with politicians, no matter whcih color, telling fibs. Simple as that. You can make it a race issue, only because you can not answer to the truth. period
Editor: Hey you little nameless wonder, Gordon is an important person, he's busy writing stories that are changing America and I can tell you that this Marine brother of mine won't be indulging your little fantasy argument. Were you ever able to comprehend facts? Even when you were young? Maybe?
Jojn Mikulic September 17, 2009 2:17 pm (Pacific time)
The liberals were crazy angry while George W. Bush was president. Part of it was that for a time after 9/11, they were made completely irrelevant — when people are dying, who is going to listen to a liberal? But another part of it is that it’s much easier to hate a person than to hate a concept — like conservatism. So they were able to channel all their hate into President Bush. And they were jumping-around-pooh-flinging-biting-each-other angry. I think a number of conservatives were secretly looking forward to the Obama presidency in hopes that liberals might just calm down a little. Maybe they’d even consider supporting the troops in their war efforts for a change. At least, maybe they would be a bit less angry. Big miscalculation. Now conservatives have more reason to be angry these days, with liberals in charge and all the spending and government takeovers. But with Democrats having complete control of the government, you’d think liberals could be dismissive of conservatives and be calm themselves. But no, they’re still crazy angry. Maybe even angrier than before. Biting-fingers-off angry. They’re screeching about how all the people opposed to Obama are racists and neo-Nazis and stupid, and they’re using sexual slurs against protesters and boycotting everyone who disagrees with them. They’re still nuts, but why?
Editor: Do you believe that supporting troops means rallying for Bush who used a series of lies to get these people all killed in the first place. I have only spent a short amount of time in Iraq and Afghanistan but man I have been there and I have seen the handiwork of your party up close and personal. So you support young Americans being killed for no good reason? What does that make you? Not much of a friend for the combat soldier or Marine, that's for sure. You're the kid in school who would rally around a fight and call for blood. I'm the kid who had the sense to try and stop the stupid fight before it started. But that's nor glorious, right? You think suporting narrow minded abortion protesting politics is somehow glorious, it makes me completely sick. The only people I have ever met in large numbers who were actually religious in their actions as well as their philosophy, are the Muslims. Where that leaves your root for war-go to church mindset out there in the nowhere zone. The politics of Bush are dead, you are just a ghost.

from anon 7:41am. Dear Editor. There was nothing racist in my post. In fact, quite the opposite. What is happening here, is that it is easier for you to use the "race card" than to address my facts. That is exactly what is going on. The fact that my second post was not posted is proof. In fact, dear editor, it is YOU that is bringing up racism, not me. and you bring it up, because you wont face the facts. Lets try this again, and see if you post it. This is a fair assesment of what is going on. And within the salem-news rules. thanks. What Obama is doing is recycling Israel's favorite tactic, which is to scream "Anti-Semite" at every criticism. For example.... "Why did you kill Rachel Corrie?" "You're an anti-Semite!" "Why did you commit war crimes in Gaza?" "You're an anti-Semite!" "Why are you building illegal settlements on Palestinian land?" "You're an anti-Semite!" "Why do you persist in defying the United Nations?" "You're an anti-Semite! And so is the United Nations!!!" Now obviously Obama cannot use the word "Anti-Semite". He uses a different word, "Racist", but the intent is the same. "Why didn't you keep your promise to end the wars?" "You must be a racist!" "Why didn't you keep your promise to end the torture?" "You must be a racist!" "Why didn't you keep your promise to end domestic spying?" "You must be a racist!" "Why are you looting the people to make the bankers richer?" "You must be a racist!" "Why are you selling us health care reform that doesn't reform anything except the costs (upward)?" "You must be a racist!" And so forth and so on, etc. It is an old trick, and it is a sign of the government's desperation to play this card, since it is already so worn out from Israel's constant over-use. Last Saturday sent a clear message that the entire American people are united against a common enemy, the government. The government's plan is apparently to try to split us back up along racial lines

There has been so much name-calling going on it just makes me feel that we have so little hope pulling ourselves together so we can have some meaningful debate. Last July and August the people going to the Townhalls across the country were called "mobsters", "nazis" and other demeaning names. Well people these individuals exercising their 1st Amendment rights were reflecting what the majority of Americans feel about the projected house health plan, certainly not the minority some misrepresent. Now everything that runs counter to democratic policies are labeled racist! Playing the race card is quickly losing it's power and for many it is taking on the same evaluation as "Cry Wolf." Here is a recent national poll that acknowledges how American opinion is trending: "Progressive” is becoming more of a dirty word, but all political labels – except “being like Ronald Reagan” - are falling into disfavor with many U.S. voters, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. “Liberal” is still the worst and remains the only political description that is viewed more negatively than positively. Being like Reagan is still the most positive thing you can say about a candidate. Just 15% of voters say they view the description of a candidate as politically liberal as positive, down four points from last November. Forty-one percent (41%) see it as a negative description, up five points form the earlier survey, while 42% say it’s somewhere in between. Aware of their low ideological ratings, political liberals have shifted in recent times to calling themselves progressives, but that name, too, has begun to lose its luster."
Editor: As Bush savaged this country with his criminal acts, you probably kept your mouth shut. You probably complained about War Protesters demonstrating against the Supreme Court elected President. Now your racism forces you out of the hous, "Well I won't have this" you say. Your disprespect and whining complaints are not a benefit for this great country, in fact it is sickening that after all of the years of oppressing the black race, that you wouldn't have the decency to set your baseless bogus made-up arguments off to the side and just ride it out the way we all will. No, this tiny majority of almost exclusively white gun toting rednecks assembling against our President are not good at all, regardless of how much noise you make. The funny part is that you don't even mind rallying for big nameless faceless corporate America. As long as you didn't plan to do the world any favors, I suppose you are right on track,

The plan appears to be to try to split America into tiny pieces along racial lines so that we cannot stand up to the government. Pretty obvious. Pretty pathetic.

Both liberal and conservative news stations are owned by the same people. There is an "off" button on all tv's, if your tv does not have an off button, unplug it. I strongly urge you to. Turn off the internet? Great idea, then people like me who actually do research will never know the truth in regards to what is going on in the world.
People who disagree with obama policies, disagree because he lies constantly, not because of his color. In fact, when I disagree with obama, its his white side I dont like, his black side is cool. How about that? obama was in the senate for 2 years and never spoke up in regards to the economy, Ron Paul was in Congress and spoke of it continually, obama couldnt care less. obama strongly supported the 2008 stimulus, which gave trillions to the banksters, then did it again in feb 2009. Goldman Sachs donated over a million dollars to obama's campaign, and he rewarded them nicely. He has hired nothing but people from the clinton/bush era. I could go on for hours. It is not bush who is now expanding the wars, its not bush who is extending the patriot act. In fact, if you would open your eyes, obama is doing nothing but extending EVERYTHING bush started. Obushma, and George W. Obama is what his nicknames are. People who disagree with obama, and uncover his lies, are not racist, they seek truth. People who still support obama with lie after lie, are not racist. They are blind.
I supported obama from the beginning, but after seeing lie after lie, and following the bush agenda to a tee, refuse to support him, I dont care if he is black, purple or
green with yellow polka dots.
Wake up and open your friggin eyes!
Editor: Most of the world disagrees with you, and the whole "I supported him then" thing is just the latest line from you guys. Try to get past racism, it will make your life better.

It's obvious this is bigotry in it highest form. Tea Party is akin to the KKK and if it were 40 years earlier they would be wearing white sheets and hoods to hide their identity. Now these bigots wear their badge proudly under the nuance of other facades.
