(SALEM, Ore.) - The Department of Defense has alerted more than 3,500 Citizen Soldiers of the Army National Guard's 116th Cavalry Brigade Combat Team for possible mobilization affecting the 3-116 Cavalry in Eastern Oregon.
The Cavalry Brigade is scheduled to be comprised of approximately 800 Oregon Guard members with the remainder being from Idaho and Montana.
Oregon's 3-116 Cavalry is comprised of: A mobilization order is needed to establish specific time frames and location of duty. Such order has yet to be issued. Any new updates on the idea of Afghanistan? I have heard that is might change to be Afghanistan? Currently Im stationed in Iraq.

We are deploying next fall. Doing the summer training, then taking a few days rest then back to it. Leaving 9/11/10 to Mississippi to train. 42 days out suppose to head for Iraq. Latest that I know
