Gearing Up for 911

Bush wanted to be a war president...

Bush gets the news, 9/11 had happened minutes earlier.
Bush gets the news, 9/11 had happened minutes earlier; Bush remained in a classroom for a grade school performance, rather than jumping into action as the U.S. president.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Ten years - a minor grade anniversary for a horrendous event that plagues Americans in ways most still can't see. The Bush administration convinced people everywhere that Arabs were behind the attacks on America when in truth, most Arabs could care less about what happens in the U.S.

It seems most are busy either defending their families from Israeli forces, or lounging around with oil reserve proceeds, ignoring the plight of those who suffer in the world's most historic, Biblical place.

Arab (and Persian) political leaders who have spoken out and openly criticized the way America supports Israel have paid a strong price.

The Murder of Saddam Hussein was illegal and unjustified. Like it or not, that man had a grip and unlike the Israeli regime, religion was not one of the tools he used to control and subjugate the population.

Usama bin Laden, he was a terrorist, that is true because of his role in the 7 August 1998 bombings of the United States Embassies in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and Nairobi, Kenya, attacks left over 200 people dead.

Isn't it interesting that the FBI hasn't taken down their wanted poster of the man?

Why is he still listed among the top ten most wanted terrorists? (see: http://www.fbi.gov/wanted/topten/usama-bin-laden) Granted, there is a 'Deceased' reference, but why was his presence not removed from the list?

Probably because the U.S. government has no real idea exactly when or how this man died.

What we do know is simple:

  • As a Mujaheddin leader, he helped bring about the end of America's staunchest Cold War enemy, the Soviet Union.

  • Usama bin Laden was very sick with failing kidneys prior to 2001.

  • He allegedly lived in a cave and then a Pakistani house with a several million dollar price tag on his head.

  • Residents of Abbottabad, Pakistan, who lived in the neighborhood for years- expressed serious doubt over his existence there.

  • His image and name were used multiple times by the Bush administration to raise and adjust the (color-coded) 'terror level' in America.

That is what we know, along with the fact that bin Laden clearly and unequivocally denied having any involvement in the U.S. terrorist attacks.

In his statement from 2001, bin Laden said:

"The U.S. government has consistently blamed me for being behind every occasion its enemies attack it.

"I would like to assure the world that I did not plan the recent attacks, which seems to have been planned by people for personal reasons."

"I have been living in the Islamic emirate of Afghanistan and following its leaders' rules. The current leader does not allow me to exercise such operations."

From: Bin Laden says he wasn't behind attacks - CNN

We also know that the Taliban offered to hand bin Laden over to U.S. authorities if they could simply demonstrate his complicity with 911, back when all of this began.

It didn't happen, Bush rejected the plan, he never cared about catching bin Laden and he said as much; he cared about using the man's name and image to start a new round of the crusades and with this bloody idea, Bush had great success.

From the Guardian UK 14 October 2001:

President George Bush rejected as "non-negotiable" an offer by the Taliban to discuss turning over Osama bin Laden if the United States ended the bombing in Afghanistan.

Returning to the White House after a weekend at Camp David, the president said the bombing would not stop, unless the ruling Taliban "turn [bin Laden] over, turn his cohorts over, turn any hostages they hold over."

He added, "There's no need to discuss innocence or guilt. We know he's guilty". In Jalalabad, deputy prime minister Haji Abdul Kabir - the third most powerful figure in the ruling Taliban regime -

told reporters that the Taliban would require evidence that Bin Laden was behind the September 11 terrorist attacks in the US, but added: "we would be ready to hand him over to a third country".

From: Bush rejects Taliban offer to hand Bin Laden over - Guardian UK

I've been to Jalabad, I have seen the places bin Laden called home, and I have talked to many people in Afghanistan who can tell you all about the Taliban, a very real organized force that has been actively fighting the U.S. for a decade, but nobody in Afghanistan seems to know anything about 'al Qaeda' which is actually a name given to an operation in the 1980's to fund bin Laden and other resistance fighters in Afghanistan, who were in the process of defeating the Russian invaders.

This is the story followed in the film, 'Charlie Wilson's War' and that period, in '89 and '90, is why we are paying the price today, that and the fact that we have (using term loosely) elected leaders who desire to start protracted military engagements with no clear goals or even rules of engagement.

To this day, Americans continue to kill and die in a place they have nothing really to do with, if it weren't for Bush's perverted bloodlust to be a 'war president'. Well, he certainly accomplished that dream.

9/11, those are the numbers used to launch the most anti-American phase in our own history, ironic isn't it?

Talking about how people who have never heard of us want to "take our freedoms" (what bullshit!) Bush stripped us of our own rights with the implementation of Homeland Security.

This, from the political party that moans constantly about wanting "smaller government", what gives? Wars that cost close to a trillion dollars, leaving civilians and young American militants dead, is this really what we are here for? And what about the levels of treatment provided to our veterans?

As for the terrorist attacks, there is much to say, so much in fact that I am going to continue this as a special series on 911.

TIM king is more of a looney conspiracy nutcase than I imagined. He doesn't believe OBL is dead? Wake up dude!

Tim King: Dude, I believe he is very dead, and has been for ten years, when he was killed in the caves at Tora Bora.

Proud American September 5, 2011 5:06 pm (Pacific time)

Tim King is so transparent, never missing an opportunity to miss an opportunity to attack Israel. How pathetic and sophmoric to inject Israelis into an article about Arab terrorists from Saudi Arabia and Lebanon who murdered thousands of American civilians in New York including hundreds of Jewish men and women!

It's no surprise that he will never be a real reporter writing for real publications.

Your hate only makes us stronger!

Tim King: I hate corruption, lies, prejudice and the out of control military-industrial complex first described by the Great Marine General Smedley Butler.  You know damned well I feel terrible about the people who died that day, but crap, you believe G.W. Bush when it is clear as day he 'wanted' a war and that Afghanistan had zilch to do with 911.  So, first, I have worked as a staff member for NBC, ABC and FOX stations, so don't infer that I can't, I did... and that is why I broke away several years ago to start Salem-News.com.  This is the only place in the country that delivers clear unfiltered news about Israel, a religious fundamentalist government that maintains separate laws for Jews and Arabs, and also 'Jewish only' roads.  You approve of this?  If so you are a floundering joke, which I suspect to be the case.  So trust me, we are talking about the worst kind of terrorism when we arrive at the subject of 'Israel'.  And for what it is worth, I work with many people in Israel to get these stories and they are Jewish, not Zionist.  There is a BIG difference and you don't have to be Jewish to belong to the second club, only bigoted.

Gee Tim, and Mr. Anonymous, may I suggest an emergency room visit to have your impacted colons evaluated.

Tim King: No, don't think so.

By the way Mike..thru my research, saddam was taken down because he would not go along with the usury of the jew/israel banking system that enslaves people. Same reason why Libya was invaded. THAT is the true reason, the rothhild banking cartel, and their plan for world empire, and some dictators dont go along with it. Saddam wanted to sell oil with the euro instead of the dollar..blam, invaded...ghadaffi wanted to use the gold backed currency..blam, invaded....JFK wanted away from the ponzi federal reserve usury system..blam...killed..same with Lincoln. You mess with the bankers, they will kill you. Sorry to say this, I feel really bad about it, but the truth has to come out. Our soldiers have fought for NOTHING but the corporations and banker takeover of not only the U.S. but the entire planet. The proof of this is overwhelming. My apologies to all who fought, I am soooo sorry, but its the truth, and until we get the truth out, it will continue and more of our children will die for no reason except slavery. I dont mind paying lotsa taxes to have our military in NATIONAL defense, but invading other countries only causes more problems and makes us less safe.

Anonymous September 4, 2011 12:35 pm (Pacific time)

Mike, I hate to say this, but what YOU did made us less safe. You fought for the bankers and the oil industries, so they could build their world empire, while taking away our freedoms and making martyrs out of the civilians you killed. . You should have actually READ the Constitution before swearing to defend it. You fought for corporations, not our freedom. We are less safe, we have the patriot act, torture, indefinate imprisonment without due process, check points, etc etc. I am tired of sticking up for the military personnel..I know they mean well, but they dont have a clue what they are fighting for. Thanks for the article Tim, I think most of the world knows 911 ws backed by mossad and CIA. The evidence is absolutely overwhelming if people wold take time to turn off their tv and research it. I was just glad to hear, from someone in the military in Germany (the hub when soldiers get transferred, she does the paperwork), that the overwhelming majority understand its a farce and are getting out.

Mike September 3, 2011 6:27 pm (Pacific time)

Tim it appears you have not had much education/experience regarding the Islamic attacks against the West, which have been going on for centuries, and long before America came into existence.

Tim King: (Yawn...) Here we go, disillusional words of advice from the narrow minded, the fearful, the insultingly ridiculous.

In fact on college campuses since the 60's (I witnessed) there were arab students calling for our destruction (they still are today, just learn how to do some real news investigation that is not via your myopic tunnel vision). Many of these arabs were deported while LBJ, Nixon and Ford were president. Under Carter, well that ass pardoned cowards, so that's where he was coming from.

Tim King: Carter is a man of peace, so you hate him, do you expect a gasp of surprise?  All people like you hate people like him, no big deal.

Saddam's death was a rightous one, and I'm sure you would be hard pressed to find a single Kurd from northern Iraq who would disagree (and a whole bunch of Iranian military personnel who were gassed!)...along with all kinds of different Iraqi tribes.

Tim King: Saddam's death was an illegal act of grotesque 'cover your ass Bush' behavior and neither the US or any other body had the right to conduct that shoddy trial in the first place, let alone justify the invasion.  If you had ever seen widespread death you would understand.  W.'s daddy is who encouraged the Kurds to revolt against their own government and then left them hanging.  That was terrible, it was all a plan so somebody like you would be able to blame the Iraq president for taking action against citizens who took action against their government.  That seldom goes over well.

You are simply a victim of smooth talking propagandists, and no one other than those who also have your lack of education/experience would go along with your faulty reasoning. Why do you stay living here? Go to Palestine and fight. Bottom line you are safe because of what people like me did, so leave, you may profit by seeing what the muslims really think of the infidels, if you survive, so take your family also, show'em a good time. Are you a coward?

Tim King: You know I am not a coward, however you, flaky guy or girl of shifting names, who has bothered our comment section for years with racist, anti-peace pro-FOX News BS, you are a true and bona fide coward.  You define the word with your inability to so much as ever list your real name.  I have asked you to email many times and always you are too weak, so you toss your racism out and, in this case, try to paint all Muslim people with a single stroke of hate.  That is terrible, and no group, Muslim, Jewish, Christian, will ever be regarded that way here.  If you want to talk about the Taliban, or the Westboro Baptist Church, or the Zionists of Israel, then you are talking about religious whackos who are insincere and just outright fake, using religion as a tool to provoke and hate and kill.  It is always an offshoot, a fundamentalist outcropping, that ruins religion.  The basic teachings of all faiths are decent and good.  And one more thing to the people who write 'Allah' in quotes... that means God, end of story.  It is not a different God, it is the same God that all Abrahamic faiths follow.  .

Well, you barely got out of the Corps (or is that "corpse" as per Obama, your magic hero?) without getting an Undesirable, which you would have received during my time,.

Tim King: As I have said before, I feel sorry for you.
