(VANCOUVER, B.C.) - International Voice for Baloch Missing Persons and Baloch Human Rights Council of Canada, held a successful rally in front of the Canadian National Media Building CBC to get their message across. This emphasized the extra judicial killings in custody by Pakistani security forces and repression and summary execution of innocent Baloch people by Iranian regimes. Organizers of the rally included Aziz Baloch, who answered the questions regarding the ongoing human rights violations in occupied Pakistani and Iranian occupied Balochistan. He explained that since 2005 more than 14,000 Baloch youth and human rights and political activists have been made victims of enforced disappearances by Pakistani security forces. Over 500 people from the above stated number were first inhumanly tortured then extra judicially killed in custody by Pakistani security forces. Their bodies were found dumped in deserted areas across Balochistan. A Canadian Human Rights Defender went through the pictures and stated that he never heard of such serious human rights violations which are committed against the Baloch people by Pakistan’s and Iranian regimes. He showed his sympathy towards Baloch enforced disappearances and their families. He also made a plea that CBC should come down and takes coverage of such serious human rights violations against the Baloch people while rally took place in front of their building. In the past International Voice for Missing Persons (IVBMP) and Baloch Human Rights Council of Canada (BHRC) held similar rallies against human rights violations in Balochistan in front of the United States Consulate Building and in front of the Vancouver Art Gallery. Participants of the rally said, “Through today’s rally on August 30th for the International Day of the Disappeared, we appeal to the United Nations, International Human Rights organizations, such as UN Working Groups on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances, International Coalition against Enforced Disappearances, Asian Federation against Involuntary Disappearances, Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International to save the Baloch activists and youth. Let their loved ones know that International Human Rights organizations are showing and acting upon their serious concerns.” Caption notes: 1- Please note two main signs with the pictures we are holding on the rally in 2- Dr. Deen Mohammad Baloch a family physicians and the leader ________________________________________ _________________________________________
