Sep-01-2012 13:54TweetFollow @OregonNews India: Immediately order Reduction of Water Level in Omkareshwar and Indira Sagar DamsLeter by William Gomes Salem-News.comIndians are fighting for their rights and their lives are in the need of the government's intervention and support.
(SALEM) - There are big questions over water levela at the Omkareshwar and Indira Sagar dams in India's Narmada Valley. Witnesses there say the waters were illegally raised and this flooded homes and valuable agricultural land that people used to make a living and generate valuable food products. Essentially refugees within their own country, these mostly voiceless people have not been resettled or relocated and their grief is a continuing issue that is worsening by the day. None of this should be taking place. The Supreme Court issued the order that these 'oustees' have to be rehabilitated 6 months before submergence. At the time of this writing, thousands of families are being submerged in complete violation of both Supreme Court and High Court orders. In his letter below, our Human Rights Ambassador William Nicholas Gomes, asks Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan; Chief Minister for the Government of Madhya Pradesh, to work with the oustees of the Omkareshwar and Indira Sagar dam in the Narmada valley in Madhya Pradesh. They are fighting for their rights and their lives are in the need of the government's intervention and support.

c348I wish to express thanks to you for rescuing me from this predicament. As a result of looking through the the web and finding views that were not powerful, I thought my life was gone. Living minus the approaches to the issues you've solved all through your entire website is a serious case, as well as the ones that could have adversely damaged my career if I had not noticed your web site. Your own personal talents and kindness in maneuvering all things was excellent. I'm not sure what I would've done if I hadn't come upon such a solution like this. It's possible to at this moment look forward to my future. Thank you very much for your expert and result oriented guide. I will not hesitate to suggest the website to any individual who needs and wants care on this topic.d1
