(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem Police detectives are currently investigating a reported suspicious death that occurred in the 4000 block of Earle Avenue NE. Salem Police Lt. Dave Okada says the Oregon State Police Crime Laboratory has been activated to assist in the investigation, and a body has now been located in a wooded area outside of Salem. The identity of the victim is unknown at this time, Okada said. An autopsy will be scheduled to assist in the identification of the victim and manner of death.
