(SALEM, Ore.) - On Sunday Salem Police Officers took reports of subjects passing counterfeit $20 bills at two small businesses. The first incident occurred at approx. 8:30am at a business in the 800 block of Highland Ave. NE. A male subject purchased some items using counterfeit $20 bills. The second incident occurred at approx. 12:30pm at a business in the 3800 block of Devonshire Ave NE. Two males and a female entered the business, made a purchase with counterfeit $20 bills and left. The two incidents appear to be related from similarities of the counterfeit $20 bills, and the suspects description. The suspects are described as: Involved vehicle used by suspects is described as a white mini-van, partial license #236 ???, with paint peeling on the hood. Anyone with information on the suspects or vehicle are asked to contact Salem Police at 503-588-6123.
