(SHERWOOD, Ore.) - Today at 12:06pm, Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a crash on Highway 99W and SW Chapman Road. This area is in unincorporated Washington County south of the city of Sherwood. Upon arrival deputies determined 38-year-old Dale Lissner of Tigard was crossing Highway 99W traveling east from SW Chapman Road. As he crossed Highway 99W, he pulled out in front of a pickup driven by 39-year-old Eric Stocking of Newberg. As he crossed the highway, he was hit by the pickup. The force of the crash spun the Nissan and it came to rest in the center median. Both vehicles sustained significant damage. Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue had to extricate Mr. Lissner from his vehicle. He sustained lifethreatening injuries and was sent by Life Flight to OHSU. Highway 99W south was closed for about 30-minutes. The driver of the pickup sustained only minor injuries. The investigation is on going and no citations have been issues at this time.
