(LEBANON, Ore.) - The Marion County Sheriff's Office responded to the report of a pedestrian verses vehicle crash at Duckflat Road near Pearson Road SE in Marion Sunday evening at 7:16 p.m.

"When deputies arrived, a female, 30-year old Rose Ellison of Lebanon was being transported by Reach Helicopter to Salem Hospital for leg fractures and other injuries," Lt. Sheila Lorance with the Marion County Sheriff's Office said.

She says Deputy Jason Bernards talked with Ellison's boyfriend, 39-year old Thomas Huntington of Lebanon.

"He reported he had come to pick up Ellison from a party in Marion and said she was very intoxicated. Huntington said he was going to take her home but as he was driving she attempted to grab the steering wheel several times and then said she was going to jump out of the jeep."

The man told investigators he was driving on Duckflat road at approximately 20 miles per hour when Ellison opened the door and just jumped out of the jeep.

Ellison's right leg was run over by the back passenger tire and she received several other injuries as a result. No criminal charges or citations were issued.
