(NEWPORT, Ore.) - Oregon State Police (OSP), with the assistance of the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office and Lincoln County Medical Examiner, is continuing the investigation into the death of an unidentified female found Saturday morning on a Lincoln County beach near Beverly Beach State Park. There is no evidence at this time that the death is associated with a crime. According to OSP Sergeant Greg Plummer, on the morning of October 15, 2011 the body of an adult Asian female was found by a person walking on the beach about a hundred yards north of Spencer Creek Bridge. OSP troopers responded to the scene to investigate. The deceased had no identification and appeared to have been in the ocean for a few days. OSP has a lead on a possible identification but nothing more will be released at this time pending further work in conjunction with Lincoln County Sheriff's Office and the medical examiner.
