(TUALATIN, Ore.) - MOST WANTED" ARRESTED Posted: October 14th, 2007 6:50 PM One of Washington County's most wanted fugitives is in jail after being arrested by the Tualatin Police on Sunday. Police say that Sunday at about 1:24 PM, Tualatin Police Officer Eric Hermann received a call to check on a suspicious car parked in the 9300 block of SW Ibach Court in Tualatin. Officer Hermann responded and reported finding a silver 2003 Toyota van parked on the side of the street. The van had no license plates. Officer Hermann stated that he could see a person sleeping inside the van. Captain Jeff Groth with Tualatin Police says Officer Hermann checked the status of the van and learned it was reportedly stolen from a burglary in Tigard. "Additional Tualatin PD officers arrived and a plan was put into place to take the occupant into custody without risk to the community." He says spike strips were placed in front of the tires and the female occupant was removed from the van before she woke up and had a chance to resist. "The woman taken into custody provided a false name, but was recognized by Officer Hermann, and her identity later confirmed as 36-year-old Georgia Nancy Weise, born August 09, 1971," Groth said. Ms Weise has no known local address, but she was the report of a recent Salem-News.com story over her wanted status. Washington County Sheriff's Office Spokesman Dave Thompson says Weise has been passing through the revolving doors of their correctional center for six years now. Her appearance in the images presented in the video, as well as in the photos to the left, clearly depicts what the effects of a criminal life and drug abuse can do to a person. As far as the "most wanted" status, Georgia Weise, who also uses the name Georgia Williams, was wanted by the Washington County Sheriff's Office for a first degree burglary charge. Police say that shortly after being taken into custody and while handcuffed, Weise attempted to escape from the police officers, but was shortly re-captured by Officer Eric French. Georgia Weise was lodged at the Washington County Jail and charged with Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Escape in the Third Degree, A Multnomah County Parole Detainer, Washington County Warrants for Failure to Appear and Possession of Stolen Vehicle and additional warrants for Failure to Appear and Unauthorized Departure. The Tualatin Police would like to remind the community that they should always report suspicious activity, including people and cars. It was an alert citizen that led to the arrest of Ms Weise.
