Salem Man Arrested for DUII on Oregon Coast

44-year-old John Gibson was taken to the Lincoln County Jail where he refused a breath test.

(DEPOE BAY, Ore. ) - A Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy arrested a Salem man for DUII while driving on Highway 101 near Depoe Bay.

Deputy Ryan McPartlin was on a traffic stop in Depoe Bay when a citizen from the area stopped to let him know about a DUII driver on highway 101.

Deputy McPartlin noticed the vehicle driving south on highway 101 and followed it to the Wing Wa restaurant where it parked.

Deputy McPartlin contacted the driver who identified himself as 44-year-old John Gibson from Salem.

While talking with Gibson, Deputy McPartlin noticed signs of impairment. Deputy McPartlin conducted a DUII investigation and subsequently arrested Gibson for Driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Gibson was taken to the Lincoln County Jail where he refused a breath test. He was lodged at the jail and his bail was set at $7500.
