(TILLAMOOK, Ore.) - Police are hoping a photo may lead to the location of a missing fisherman, 62-year old Robert Shaw of Washougal, Washington, who failed to return to Wheeler, Oregon in his 12-foot fishing vessel after a Thursday fishing trip, his wife said.

Shaw reportedly went fishing alone on his 12-foot boat Thursday in the area of the lower Nehalem Bay in northern Tillamook County. He failed to return to where he was staying with his wife in Wheeler.

Personnel from Tillamook County search and rescue, U.S. Coast Guard and OSP Fish & Wildlife Division started searching the area Friday, and the man's overturned boat was found about two miles off shore at approximately 3:00 p.m.

According to OSP Trooper Ryan Howell, search and rescue personnel from Tillamook County Sheriff's Office resumed search efforts Saturday.

Oregon State Police took a missing person report and the family has now provided the photograph of Mr. Shaw that is included with this story.

Police say no further information is available for release.
