Police Searching For a Man Who Allegedly Exposed Himself Near School Bus Stop

The suspect was driving an older, full-size car, possibly a Cadillac, Lincoln Town Car that was painted with grey primer and had a red cloth top that was peeling away from the metal.

(MOUNT ANGEL) - Mount Angel police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man who allegedly exposed himself in front of children before they boarded a school bus Monday morning.

A woman noticed a man sitting in a car watching children near W Marquam Street and Railroad Avenue.

When the man called her toward his car, and when she approached, she said he was touching his genitals with his pants off.

She alleged that the man made threatening comments toward the children before leaving the area police said.

The man was described as a white male in his late 40s to early 50s, medium build, long grey hair pulled back into a ponytail and had a white beard and mustache.

Anyone with information on the suspect, or his whereabouts, or sees a vehicle matching this description is urged to contact the Mount Angel Police Department at (503) 845-9294.

I was not talking about streakers in the 60' or even late 50's. My parents had done well in business and my mother's parents were always afraid that I would be kidnapped. That is far worse than a sexual predator unless he intends to kill. The flashers in our neighborhood were not streakers, they showed there tools and said sexual things to the kids but most of us looked forward to the next show. It was hilarious to us. I grew up in a very exlusive neighborhood (big deal) the kids had parents that were nuts but taught us not to think like everyone else. We knew as kids that we were in an unusual environment. I do not know what this guy is, I only know that me being told that I was the next Lindbergh baby was pretty scary. The sex stuff to us was not a big deal. Now that I think back even some of the parents laughed about it. Who in the hell knows what this guy is all about. Way back, you did not kidnap a kid for sex, it was for money...even if you were middle class. You probably do not remember Barbara Mackle who was buried underground for a long time in a box with ventilation and was drugged out by her abductors. Patty Hearst is a good example of this stuff. It was not for sex back then. They wanted the cash. But now so few parents have enough money that there is no ransom to be paid. So people with nothing want at least something for free. It is all terrible but flashers like to be caught. You do not flash if you intend to really harm. It is just a momentary thrill of some sort. A real predator will plot and be very careful. That is why I think this guy is more of a sick clown than anything else. My location has varied in my life. All I will say about locations is stay the hell out of Florida.....The Albert Award for the worst state in the union. You have to live their for a while before you find out that it is just a third world country and corrupt as hell on all levels. Do not let the beaches and palm trees throw you. It is a living hell for anyone with a brain. If you are retired or retarded, it is a good place to die.

Mr. Marnell, I am wondering where you are actually located. I do understand where you are coming from, but - times have changed since the 60's. While I was a product of the 60's and did some of that laughing at streakers, I don't belive this falls into the same category. I believe this individuals is a predator pedo unless you know different and can convince me.

I can not give info on the whereabouts of this guy but I can give some perspective. When I was a child in the sixties, the main concern for children was kidnaping for money. Now it is fear of pedophiles. This man or particular type of pedo is usually harmless. We had many, many flashers in our neighborhood as kids and they were all the laugh of the month. We loved it! Not one of them tried to get us into the car. Of course he should not do what he is doing. I am trying to tell you that this brand of whatever, is not really that dangerous if dangerous at all. Do not instill hysteria in your kids, just tell them how to deal with it. I think that the laugh,scream, run and tell routine works but do not want to play psychologist on such a delicate subject. The parents were the ones that harmed the kids afterwards especially the twenty to thirty something mothers and police. The kids did not cry until the protectors communicated panic. Most of us knew that our parents were over reacting and just blew them off. Alot of the boys in my neighborhood were sexual predators. We would look through windows in the early evening and were only 11 years old or a little older. Some of the neighbors should have been scared of us, or should I say annoyed at us at most.
