Albany Fire Department Treasure Hunt Saturday

The event is fun and educational for the whole family.

(ALBANY) - The Albany Fire Department is holding its annual Treasure Hunt on Saturday.

This year’s activities include:

Station 11 (located at 110 SE Sixth Avenue) a small AFD History Museum, fire engine rides, face painting, and popcorn.

Station 12 (located at 120 34th Avenue) will be taking your pictures in real fire fighting clothes sitting atop an antique fire engine. A demonstration of the Jaws of Life will also take place at 10:30 AM, 11:45 AM, and 1:00 PM along with cookies and juice.

Station 13 (located at 1980 Three Lakes Road SE) will be having demonstrations with the ladder truck along with the thermal imaging camera. They will also have a Hazardous Material Team display and a caricature artist to draw your picture.

Station 14 (located at 2850 Gibson Hill Road NW) will have the Junior Fire Fighter Challenge plus the Reach helicopter will be landing between 12:00 PM and 12:30 PM for everyone to see.

At each station, you will get your Treasure Hunt map stamped plus a “treasure” for you to take home.

Everyone visiting all four stations and getting all four stamps will be put in a drawing for dinner at one of the fire stations.
