Fugitive Melvin Anthony Murray Located and Taken into Custody

(LAKE OSWEGO, Ore.) - Melvin Anthony (Tony) Murray was taken into custody without incident at a Hotel located at 4911 NE 82nd Avenue, Portland. Lake Oswego Police Detective Lee Ferguson followed up on several leads and located Mr. Murray staying at the location.

With the assistance of Portland Police Bureau Mr. Murray was contacted and taken into custody at 3:13 pm. Mr. Murray was later transported to the Lake Oswego Police Department where he was interviewed.

He was then lodged at the Clackamas County jail on one count of Forgery in the First degree and one count Theft in the First Degree. He was also lodged on three Theft warrants for his arrest issued by area agencies.
